One more thing...you got out of this site exactly what you put in.

and finally - I'll give you a bit of (undeserved) advice-14 months quit does not make you completely cured. That is the nature of addiction.
I quit with you 30.

I joined KTC just over a year ago. I was seeking help to quit smokeless tobacco. Everyone was so friendly and supportive I was happy with my decision. I started posting roll call and getting comfortable. Then some jackass sent me a pm explaining his rules for my quit. Excuse Me? I was 58 years old and really didn't need or ask for his input. Long story short, I haven't had ANY tobacco in over 14 months and will never use it again. The sad thing is there were times when I could have used some friendly support and being strong enough to quit on my own I could have probably been some help to someone else who was struggling. It seems that within even the best organizations there is always at least one know it all moron. Thanks anyway KTC and keep up the good work!
You chose to leave, no one forced you. Pretty immature for someone 58 if you ask me. You turned you back on some of the best support out there.

Thanks for the update I guess.

I'll hang with these quit jackasses any day. I got a lifetime of support right here....

Take what you need and leave the rest.

Hey, welcome! I don't see a roll post, this is number 1 critical and important. You can do this but you have to post roll first. PM any one of us if you need anything, but first go give us your word of honor that you are clean. Can't wait to see your roll in the morning.

Thank you for having me! I quit a 35 year snuff habit July 28th. The longest hardest 11 days of my life. My wife has locked herself in the bathroom and the dogs won't come out from under the bed. I guess I don't blame em. Today I found an old can of vanilla flavored Skoal that has been in our fridge for 3 years. I had a mouthfull of it before I knew what happened. I'm fairly disgusted with myself and decided to seek help. I found this site while searching for some fake snuff and decided to sign up. I can already feel my backbone straightening up. Have I mentioned how hard these withdrawals have been? I am going to get thru this and I can tell I'm going to have to get all the help I can to succeed. Thanks again for having me, now let's get this done!
Welcome to the site!! You have come to the right place to quit but as Greg has stated you must get in the right state of mind to quit. You must see no other option but quitting you can not have any nicotine you must give it up at all cost. Look at it like someone trying to break in and take your most prized possession and you must defend against the attack. Whatever it takes caving is not an option.
You will have rage take it out here do not punish your family they are not the enemy nicotine is. Come here to vent yell whatever use this place we live by our daily promise not to use that day then do it all over the next day we all quit 1 day at a time one hour at a time 1 minute at a time and 1 decision at a time.
The balls in your court now make your decision.
I concur the ball is in your court. YOU must make the decision to quit for you not for anyone else...FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!! It is doable..I am on Day 15 and am a 30 year dipper.....Go buy some Mint Snuff...use it your first fwo weeks and then pledge to get off of it by the end of the third week......Then stay disciplined to yourself. it can be done.....I never thought it could be...but now after day 15 I can't see my self ever using again......will take DISCIPLINE....but it will be done...Use this site daily man.....these guys are super heroes in my book.....world class people who want to help you........Stay strong man......SAY 'finger point' to the NIC....

Roadie,
Welcome to the site. We understand how powerful the addiction is. Make sure you read everything you can. I will send you a PM that has the instructions for posting roll, and the reason we do it.

Once you understand what posting roll means then go into November and post your promise. Just make sure you understand what that means.

You have made a great decision to take control of your life back. Settle in and lets get this shit done !!!
Great choice roadie. I promise you will not regret it. The only thing you could ever regret is not quitting.

Sure it's going to be hard as hell for a little bit, but you will pull through...just as we have all done in the past.

Focus on today and today only. You can do anything for a day, right? We will worry about tomorrow when it comes.

Be sure that you dump ALL cans hidden anywhere in the house...not in the trash but down the sink. Check out the instructions Greg sent, and then head over and post roll in Nov. You got this. It can be done...just don't forget that part.
Quit: 3/23/10
All good things in all good time.
