Hey Turtle Welcome!

Follow CavMan's advice and get on Roll - this means that you're serious and committed to beating this thing.

You'll need to recognize that you've never quit before, only stopped periodically. You need to re-frame your relationship with nicotine. You need to HATE the shit. You'll develop the tools to get there by spending some time on this site and reading a ton.

But if you want to really tap into the support network here, you've gotta get on roll with October. Trust me man, it will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself.

Reach out if I can help.

I have been dipping tobacco for 27 years. There have been many times that i have quit, but the longest time period was only a 1 1/2. I always seem to go back after that 5 or 6 month period, because in my distorted mind i feel like i'm OK and that i can just dip that one more time then i'm hooked again. Im so fucking tired of this selfish behavior. I"m trying to educate my children to work hard and stay committed to themselves but here i am dipping like a fucking stupid fuck.

Im tired and ready to gain control my life from this shit!!!
Turtle,

If you're serious....go flush every bit of that crap NOW., then head on over to October's roll pages and post your day one.

Then read as much as you can about this addiction (start here), and learn why it's got you over a barrel. Drink water until you think your bladder's gonna burst, then drink more. Hit the gym, go for a walk, eat sunflower seeds or jerky until the cows come home.

In all of this, remember that even tho it might seem like it, nicotine withdrawal has never actually killed anyone.

I'm not sayin' another word on this intro until and unless I see a Day one in October's Roll
