Yup looks like you gotta find something to do with those craves. Go for a walk. Paint a picture. Swim with a dolphin. Do something.

It's been a month since I've written in here and things overall seem to be getting better. I've still had times where I feel like caving and think that one dip would be nice. But I know if I go down that road I may never come back from it. I've tried the just one and it's never worked out. It would last maybe a day and I'd be right back in line buying another tin to have just one until it keeps adding up when I'm dipping a full tin again. Though it's been a while since I've felt like that, I need to keep being vigilant in my quit and being active in this site.

Today's the first day on this site that I've actually felt like I've taken advantage of what it has to offer since I was brand new. Feels good
nice.

way to use this place, and accept the wisdom that was thrown about. it is a two part process, and you did both.

continue to stick around. the one common component for all post-HoF caves is that each person drifted away from the site. i'm sure there are some/many that have drifted away that stayed quit, but damned near 100% (if not 100%) of the HoFers that post on a daily basis stay quit.

why risk it?

You have so many tools at your disposal.

Please don't turn your back on them.

There is no time requirement here at the ktc. Sometimes, a roll post will surfice for the day. Sometimes, you have to fight 30 for post whore status.

The only person that can decide how much time you need to spend here is you. If you are strong, then all is well. However, these posts look like cries for help. They look like you are backing back into a can.

Life can be testing sometimes, but it's up to you to do right by yourself.

A wise man (ok...Monty Python's Flying Circus) stated that the meaning of life is that people should be happy with what they have and stop longing for what they can't have. This longing breaks down their happiness and the perception of their blessed reality. Or, they should wear more hats.

Wear more hats my boy.
might i suggest and im sure waste will back me on this one but straying too far away from the site would be a bad idea... it just cracks that door open again after you think you have it tightly closed

after 500 days i thought i would be ok getting away from the site and we all see where that put me, back at a day 1 post

youre still an addict and always will be

So I'm gonna do some thinking the rest of the day and see where my mind ends up. I feel like its time to a break for a little while. I just don't know how long that will last since aside from work, school, and talking to my girl everyday this is really the only interaction I get. So that's the only thing I'm hesitant about. Guess we'll see how things turn out.
Tighten your belt, Time. It'll take a while to get the real you back, but you can definitely do this.

time, it depends on what you mean from taking a break. taking a break from KTC when you're in the middle of a nic bitch shit storm isn't a good idea. hell, it's never a good idea, but especially now. if you feel like everything around you is crumbling, you need SOMETHING that is a touchstone to let you know that "normal" still exists. Your normal no longer involves nicotine, and that needs to remain firmly planted in your mind.

this is when the nic biotch loves to come a-callin'. she can smell when you're at your weakest point and knows it even when you don't. her kryptonite is your resolve, which is fed and strengthened by this site.

I've been exactly where you are. i had a MAJOR funk at 160 that lasted about 2 weeks. it was brutal. it is also now a distant memory. this too will pass.

check your inbox for my numbers. use them at will.
