What is amazing to me at this point is no matter what you put in your mouth, seeds or gum or mints, once you put them in there the craving stops. The nic bitch is hoping you go with what you know should go in there.

At this point it is all about fucking with her as much as she is with you. Give her the shocker!!! Spit a seed in her ass. 'arse'
Fuck em all and fucking no regrets.

Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings so that you shall come easily by what others have labored hard for.

Thanks Dave!!  I have been lurking for a while now planning my quit.  I wish I would have posted sooner.

Do you guys feel the herbal chew stuff is safe?  It really does make it easier knowing I can put something in there that at least feels similar to the real stuff.
It is safer then the real thing there isn't any nic or harmful chemicals in it like cope or skoal would have in it. It will help to sat that feeling of where your dip should be until you get all of your cravings under control. I used tea bags once and they seemed to kill the tissue where they where in my mouth so I stopped using them. This time I have used about four packs of doublemint gum everyday and am finally starting to slow down a little on it.
Everything will get better a little at a time just hang in there and if you need anything just pm me and welcome to the group.
I used fake pretty heavily early in my quit. You will naturally stop doing it. There is nothing in it to keep you addicted so over time you will just migrate away from it. I chewed plenty of seeds, gum, candy, toothpicks, straws, etc.

The point is keep tobacco and Nicotine out of your body. Other than that it is pretty much do whatever it takes. It will get better.

Post roll every day like it is your job. Read everything you can on the site, get involved and stay quit.

Yes, the herbal chew is safe but I never really cared for it. As long as it does not contain nicotine then you are safe. When I first started my quit I used the mint snuff when I had a bad craving. It tasted good, gave me good smelling breath, and actually had a little bit of the burn that dip gave me. Now I just chew some gum and that keeps the cravings away.

Reading the infomation on this site really helped me to quit. As of 10:30 this morning I will have gone two weeks with no nicotine. I am 35 and have been chewing for the last ten years. Usually a can every two days but more recently I was chewing a can a day and even smoking sometimes on top of that!! Surprisingly I havent had any bad nicotine withdrawal effects. But about three days ago I was mentally dying to put something in my lip so I bought some Smokey Moutain herbal chew and really enjoy it. My problem now is my mouth is getting sore. I have a red streak where I have been putting the herbal stuff that is still sore, but gets better over night. Has anyone else noticed this? I go to the dentist regularly and tell him I chew so he checks me out really good and I have never really had any tissue changes from chewing (but I get sore when I quit?). I have read this can happen, just seems wierd.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard lunchbox. The soreness will pass in time. It due to the pH of your mouth normalizing because you are no longer dipping. So it is to be expected but just hang in there and it will pass. Come join us in November quit group and start posting roll call with us everyday. It will help you stay focused on your quit and give you a support group to lean on. If you need a number or anything let me know.
