Welcome aboard and congratulations on the greatest decision you will EVER make. After 14 years of that shit I can say without a doubt that I am far happier now 36 days quit then I have been in a long time.

Post up, support your brothers and make this quit stick.

A little background on myself:

I am an 18 year old student who became hooked on the tin a year and four months ago. I was 17 at the time but getting tins in high school is easy as pie. I soon found myself in copenhell. I've tried to quit several times with no success. I moved to a new area and none of my friends understand how difficult this quit is.

Today, my mom found a tin in my room and started crying. For some reason, this moment moved me to quit.

So far I've been using Oregon Mint Snuff to help with the pyschological side of things... I've also been reading Allen Carr's, "Easy Way to Quit Smoking." Hopefully it applies to all nicoholics.

I can't wait to be free from nicotine.

Also, do I post roll in the "April 2007" thread?
You sir are a wise man......not a boy, but a man. It took me 25 years to man-up and quit the Copencraken. I'm glad to see someone smart enough to realize that nothing good can come from tobacco at such and early age. Congratulations to you. B)

Welcome Friend... wish I had quit when Mom found my first can too!! Don't even think that caving is an option... every time you quit it is twice as hard, the first time is the easiest.... JUST DO IT!

There are alot of quitters here to help you along the way whether it is an ear to listen to bitching, a kick in the ass we can do it.

When did you quit? that is what determines your quit group.

Once again welcome aboard!

welcome my friend... damn glad to have you!

actually you should be posting in november 2008 rather than april 2007. the hall of fame groups are base on when you'll become a hall of famer (100 days quit) which for you (if you quit today) would fall in november.

welcome again!

You are extremely wise....a lot smarter than me....it took me 29 plus years of copeshitty to realize....i need to quit this stuff.....

While your mom and family members can add to your motivation....you got to be selfish with this...it is about you....and your desire to live a nic free life without the additional health risks. You have your whole life ahead of you...and so many things to look forward to....how shitty would it be to die way before your time...due to an addiction that you couldn't control....

Enough preachin....this is definitely the place to get it done....read, learn, post, get involved.....you got this and everything you need to whip this now....you will find here.

I look forward to quittin with you.....welcome.
