Sorry about that... it's been taken care of.

(I only post milestones of people who've been on the site in the last 6 months - where ya been?)

Damn glad to see you back on the site and still quit!  Congrats on a HUGE accomplishment!

chewie
Sorry Chewie.. I have had a rather busy year. Still running multiple sites, fixing multiple puters and getting absolutely no ME time on the net. And personally, I don't come around much because of post pumping trolls posting things like what preceded your post.

In addition, the little one is still in pull-ups and we have another addition on the way in January - and the new house needs a yard, so... it never ends.

Putting a year between me and nicotine was a major goal of mine. I really didn't want the public recognition as much as the affirmation that I made it.. Seeing it posted up there makes it real. Even if I was the only one who had seen it, that would have been enough.

Anyway, thanks again Chewie - you were a major factor in my quitting. IOU one... and many more.
LOL.

What a sorry, self-loathing sack of shit u are.
FtheKodiak: I gotta chime in here. Bluetiereign was a regular when I quit, about a year ago. Then he, like 90% of the quitters who find this site, faded away. Some of them have indeed caved, to be sure. But others used the site to get quit, and then for a variety of reasons, didn't maintain a regular presence.

Personally, when I saw him post again to publicly recognize his year quit, I was happy about it. Sorta like having one of your POW MIA buddies turn up alive. That's a good thing, not a bad one. It seems like Chewie, Ready, and Mule took it the same way.

So, for you to call him a, "self-loathing sack of shit"...well. Hmmmm. Let's just say that's a bit beyond the pale for my taste.

I could conclude with a healthy, "go fuck yourself, FtheKodiak", but I won't. We got all kinds in here, and you certainly qualify as one of 'em, based on a post like that.

Good day.
Sounds a bit hypocritical, Theo. I wasn't clear that's how we rolled on here. Thanks though for clearing that up.

As far as contemplating telling me to "go fuck myself" sounds a bit dramatic.

I think I've earned the right to question one's motives especially in a public forum. Your buddy could have PM'd Chewie directly or posted in your quit group.

Anyway, I don't really care too much what you have to say. I'm all about guys who are with me. If you're not, fuck it.

Good day.

I dipped longer than you. And - despite not having as many posts - I'm just as, if not more quit than you. I can see that bothers you - but it will always be.
ooohh u dipped longer than me? first of all, how do you know, and second of all, that only makes you a bigger loser. this was never a pissing contest about who dipped longer or who was quit longer. Are you 2 years old?

You are apparently in need of recognition, and apparently too good, or, sigh much too busy to post roll or give back. That's the only thing that bothers me, plus your whining about not being listed. What a fag.

Funny how you call me a troll, yet you are the perfect example of what one is.

Way too funny.

Are we done yet? I could keep this going forever.

I don't know why my name is not showing as a year quit on Forthcoming Calendar Events within the next 7 days - my quit date was the 17th of July 2008 - and I was actually looking forward to dropping in and seeing that milestone posted.

Either way, I'm still quit. Overall, it has been worth it. So...

Thanks Mule... Thanks Ready... good to see you guys.

Yes, it is good to have stayed quit a year.  There must be something to this quitting.  My life insurance drops to half as of the 17th.  :D  Since they are gambling on my living, I take that as a good sign..

I'll post in my quit group.

Quit and Stay Quit.  It is a good thing to do.  You won't be disappointed.
I actually find that a little amusing. I surmise you have been gone quite some time and not a very active poster (84 posts in a year), yet you come here looking for recognition? Hmmmm, interesting. Congrats on a year quit. See you next July.

More Incentive...

2 Years ago... I am put on blood pressure medicine.

2 Weeks before quitting, my blood pressure in the morning, at the doctors office, is 150/89. Although this is actually pretty good since at night when I take it I get a reading of 160+/95+ - I discuss with the doctor that it might be time to consider upping the script on the bp medicine....

I've been wondering dipping had anything to do with it... so after ONLY 5 days of being off of nicotine, I decided to just check it out...

Well.. here is what it tells me.. 122/71...130/78...123/71

I've checked several times over the course of the evening - and there is even more to this than I am telling.

Due to my blood pressure creeping up as it has ( and heartburn) , I had all but quit drinking coffee. Well, I've been drinking coffee nearly all day, every day... since quitting. As a matter of fact, I quit drinking it today about noon.

Anyway, just a heads up to those riding the fence and wondering what some of the effects of this habit might be.

I'm gonna quit, that ain't the prob. What we are sorting out tonight... is whether I'm gonna do it with or without chemical help.

Tonight will tell whether 'cold turkey' is gonna work with me.
got news for you my man... it only takes 72 hours to get the nic out of your system... if you go through another night and THEN reintroduce nic through gum or a patch you'd be completely silly....

hang in there dude... you CAN do this!
