Welcome to KTC Greenburr!  And congratulations on making one of the best decisions of your life!

Educate yourself on this addiction, read everything you can, arm yourself with knowledge about your enemy which is nicotine - one of the most addictive substances on planet earth.

Your brain has a lot of rewiring to do at this point - and it is going to take some time to heal.  You did 11 years of damage to your body - it will take a little time to rectify some of that.  Just focus on getting through a day at a time, try to keep your sugar levels even, and find some good outlets to ride the craves and/or any anxiety or anger you might experience.  Develop a plan.  Reach out to your fellow October brothers and sisters and vets and start making relationships - believe it or not, these (now) strangers will one day be incredibly important to you in your quit.

Drink the KTC Kool-Aid and let's do this!
Just one and you will be back to where you started, and where you started was desperately wishing you were where you are now.

Welcome.

Nice job posting roll. You nailed it.

The formula is simple. Wake Up, Piss, Post roll. Make your promise by posting roll, and keep your promise. Do the same thing tomorrow, and every tomorrow after.

Quitting is that simple - hard as hell to do, but simple.

You are through the worst of it, and the nicotine has been flushed through your system. You're right though, there will be a lot of mind games now.

That's where making and keeping your promise is so important.

Newbie- Day 7
« on: July 23, 2019, 12:47:05 PM »
Hey fellas/ladies. The first 3 days were hell. I was a zombie. Found this site on day 5 and just reading the last few days has helped when I’m craving. From reading, sounds like now is when the mind games are going to start.

Started dipping when I was 16. 27 now. Got married 2 years ago. I was a ninja dipper around my wife but all my friends knew I dipped. What a piece of shit I was. Tired of lying to her.
