I think it's essential to have a DISCUSSION thread for each quit group. Merging the threads into Discussion/Roll Call is a bad idea because so much seems to get lost into the fray.

We need both. Just my two cents.

Are there no more discussions or discussion groups in the HOF groups?  All I see is roll call and no discussion....boring.

You talking in new groups?

We did an experiment last month with breaking out discussion / roll and it didn't take. Any suggestions?

I just thought I was missing something when I scrolled through page after page of just roll call in the quit groups and no discussion.

So what happened to all that Dec 13 stuff? Did you merge all that?

Yep. The 2 December threads (one for roll and one for discussion) have been merged into the current December 2013 thread.

This is something that we've been dealing with / struggling with for quite some time now.

Don't get me wrong... it's a GREAT problem to have. But the struggle has been with SO many people on roll on a daily basis, sometimes the "discussion" does get missed.

Comments? Suggestions? I'd love to have an open discussion about it. As we continue to grow it's going to become more and more of an issue.

Again... this is a great thing. And it's what sets us apart. We'll soon be hitting the 20,000 members mark (sometime in 2014 I'm guessing). And there's no reason to think we'll slow down anytime soon.

But that size does come with issues (TWSS). :)

I would suggest creating 2 groups for each month. They are huge which is good but it would be real hard to follow in the quit fog.

I can agree, having a seperate discussion group was great. I could post roll and then pop over to see what was going on. Didn't have to filter through pages and pages of roll before finding a post of a brother that needed help.

Yep. I like the discussion page. When you upwards 100 posting on roll call its hard to find any discussion. You have to basically scroll to Horst post to make sure you don't miss any thing.

I think two separate groups is a good idea as well. Makes it easier to find the discussions and not screw up roll.
