Hey guys. I've chewed a tin a day for the last thirteen years. I am now 8 days quit but today has been an absolute bitch. Any tips for getting through it. Or do I just need to suck it up and deal.
You will get the support and resources you need here to quit but basically you DO have to suck it up and quit for yourself and no one else.

Hey all - I'm on day 5 cold turkey! I've dipped 1+ can a day of GW pouches for 6 years and this is my first time trying to quit in about 4. I wanted to wait to post until I proved to myself that I could make it through the 72 hour fog -- which I did!! Days 1-2 were tough mentally (cravings, inability to concentrate, tired), but with each day I'm feeling better and better. I still have the oral fixation and get cravings, but with each day I'm chewing less of the "fake stuff" and don't think about it as much. Thanks for all the posts/information about quitting on this site - it's helped me out a lot so far. The way I see it, I've already made it past the hardest part ... I OWE it to MYSELF to keep it going!!
Then come and join us man.

Been where you are and know that quitting alone can be rough. We don't quit alone here. We're a team.

Always trying to find new ways to keep people addicted. Fuckers.
But vaping is "healthier for you than smoking right?".

Got into this discussion with one of the people my wife works with. They just don't understand.

I've argued with vap sales reps and they have the same story lines. Thing is, it's all bullshit and we all know it.

Hey guys,I am new to the site but not new to smokeless tobacco. I have wanted to quit for a while but every time I try I just end up buying a tin and getting pissed at myself after packing another lip and I throw it out and then do the process over again the next day. (wasting a lot of cash) I am only 20 years old as of May 31st so I have been on this shit since I was like 15. I never thought it would be as bad an addiction as it is. I was killing a can a day sometimes more for a while there. I have decided to quit tonight since I already dipped today and just found this site. I think this will be good for me in the quitting process. I'm nervous because the joint of my jaw on the right side is stiff and I keep popping them both and popping my ears. I don't know what it is so i called the dentist and I'm getting it checked out after work. I am hoping that it's nothing and from all these comments of guys doing this shit for 20 years + calms me down but im still stressing. Although I had xrays like three weeks ago at the dentist I am still freaking out, boarder line break down from wanting to quit and the weird (not painful) sensation I have been having in my jaw joint that comes and goes. I think It may have something to do with all of the stressful times myself and the family have been going through. This shit has a grip on me and I need to get off of it ASAP. It sucks being so young and so addicted to something like this. I mean I use Grizzly wintergreen, my grandfather used Chew for most of his life and recently passed away and they believe his problems were caused by chewing all of those years. I want to live life and have a family one day. I really need help getting off this shit and I'm glad to be on this site now. Hopefully I can kick it like the rest of you hard asses
-Zeke
Zeke, great start dude!! I have been a dip guy (mostly grizz) for longer than you have been alive, just like others on this site. There are no easy answers!! But it is worth it, I am on Day 95 and I still quit everyday!! Get with your quit group, post roll EVERYDAY and stay focused on 1 quit day at a time. Smokey Mountain has saved my quit a few times, as well as sunflower seeds. Find what works and stay QUIT!!

June 5th first day of Roll Call. Very very foggy. Thinking my level of concentration will be thoroughly shot as the days go by. It'll get better.
