When you post roll on any of the quit groups please do everyone a favor and scroll back up and then down to see if there were any posts that came in a millisecond before or after your post went up. When that happens someone gets bumped and when they get bumped they may not be counted on roll call for that day. I post early in the morning around 0400 because that is when I used to throw a fat one in my lip and because there are very few posters awake at that hour. Yes staying on KTC for a few extra minutes means your post and ghost status may be positively affected but you might like hanging around a few more minutes to offer support to anyone in need.

Just my $0.02, you may carry on.

Day 2 for me, not to rough, but alot of stress at work so I just left early. I posted roll today and so far so good.
Awesome 208! After 3 days, the poison has left your body. You're almost there, mon. You guys should start an intro and write down what freedom feels like each day after posting roll. After we post roll, nicotine is no longer relevant, no matter what. We're quit. It only sucks this sucky once when you quit each day. In fact, today put me over the $6,000 mark in savings. That doesn't suck.

Just posted roll. This is day 2. Been on the stuff for 11 years now and after several failed attempts, it always amazes me how it starts to creep into your brain, "How can you watch the Bronco's Game tonight without a dip?" "How are you going to get through a movie at the theater this weekend without one?". Of course the answer is that tons of people can get through those things without it. The hardest part for me is not looking ahead to every event I have coming that would give me an opportunity to say, I just can't do this without it.
Reagan,

Congrats on a great decision you won't regret. You already did the most important thing which is post roll. Do this first thing every day.

I was EXACTLY the same way as you with the "looking ahead" and so was 99% on the people on here. I associated everything with dip - so my excuse was I can't quit during football season or the summer when I'll be golfing, or my busy time at work, etc etc. I could go on and on and on. It's all addict speak. Fact is you can do those things w/o dip.

Get in deep on this site and read as much as you can. You will find most stories are exactly the same as yours. One of my favorite sayings is that "it's a miracle - the lawnmower started and I mowed the lawn without a dip in!"

You can do this.
Sent you a PM with some tips! Congrats.

I'm about to hit my 5 week anniversary of my last dip. After about 23 years of dipping daily. I read this site regularly but don't post roll. You guys have been a big help even if I just lurk. My biggest issue is the anxiety. My chest feel tight and I feel like I'm in a mild panic many times during the day. The evening is the worst. Anyone else go through this even after a month of quitting?
5 weeks is VERY BADASS! No question about that! The anxiety is pretty normal... You'll talk to most quitters and find out we've all dealt with it at some level and for varying lengths of time. Man... Do yourself a favor and stop lurking here. Jump in and join us! There's a wealth of resources you don't get to take advantage of staying on the fringes. Being an active part of this community WILL help with some of that anxiety... Just knowing you're not alone and being part of a group you can open up to about it is HUGE! C'mon in man... Real freedom awaits.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

23 year user and I'm on day 3. Days 1 and 2 weren't too bad but today has been hard. I've been extremely irritable and pissed off all day! Still staying strong though. I kjow it's part of the process. Thx for all the posts/info I've read on this site. It's helped a lot!
3-4 are tough, get some fake chew, gum, seeds and candy. Flush out the poison with water.

I am on Day 3 today and so far it has not been that bad, been doing the smokey mountain stuff, I like winter green pouches. In the military so chewing is ok in my shop and it got out of control when I dipped 3 cans a day going on 9 years. So far the only thing it affects is my sleep I stay up way later and wake up almost every hour for no reason. I went into the gas station today and thought hmm.. I should buy a can....then when I got to the front of the line, I thought ehh better not. I have always worked out hard every day almost so I think all that sweating has helped. I just want to throw a dip in and then I put in one of the fake pouches and it does the trick. Great website been coming here for weeks, setting a time and day to quit.
Hey Jerod,

I'm on day 3 as well. Pretty cool...I haven't slept in two days, my stomach hurts and my skin feels like it itches. Hey, but I'm not dipping and finally feeling good about myself!

To the new quitters that are or will be slipping back into the Nic Bitch's clutches, think about how you're going to feel after you've caved. Think of caving like having an extramarital affair with a two bit whore. True it may feel good...hell it may feel fucking awesome but when the novelty wears off the life altering guilt steps in. All those good feelings are gone and have been replaced with the knowledge that YOU just pissed away all that was good in your life for a cheap roll in the hay with the Nic Bitch.
You will NEVER regret Quitting. You will ALWAYS regret caving.
