100 days quit from tobacco.

One year ago if you told me I would be saying that you probably would have got laughed at. I have been using tobacco in some form constantly for the last 32 years and had no intention of quitting no matter what happened to me or how it affected my health.

Now here it was early in 2018 and for some reason, I really don't know why, it was time to give quitting a try. My first brilliant idea was to take up smoking just for a little while. I'd get the nicotine that my body required and I could easily quit smoking down the road. Seriously, this sounded like a great idea to me.

Finally I came to my senses and realized what an incredibly stupid idea that was and I did it before the first pack was purchased.

Next I started looking at fake dip. Looks promising, their program talks about mixing your regular dip with their fake and to keep using less of your dip until you are totally using fake. Cool but how am I going to honestly split it up? They say have your wife do it, yea right I don't think my wife could do that without getting sick.

Good idea but I don't trust myself to follow the program and there is nobody that can help me stay honest.

Now I see this website killthecan.org. Ok, lets check this out and see what it's all about. Wow lots of information, spent almost all day/evening reading. Keep seeing the KTC forum and the light goes on, this is it for me. I signed up and as they say, the rest is history.

Brotherhood + Accountability = Success

It's a simple formula but it works you just have to be willing to buy in.

It was a little overwhelming at first. I have all these people just out of the blue sending me their contact information and offering to support me it seemed really weird but I jumped in and accepted it. As many people also say this is not something I would normally do (give my phone number to total strangers from the internet) but I'm glad I did and will be better for it.

My quit journey has just begun, I still have a long way to go but with the tools I now have at my disposal there is no reason for me to fail.
