We will not lose an argument to a dead plant in a plastic can.

We enjoyed a festive nicotine FREE Turkey Day

Congratulations all of you ABQ's as you exit the elevator on the third floor! At this point we all should be disciplined enough to come here and post roll every day, if for no other reason than simple respect to the rest of us who have made it this far.

Just remember...the HOF and the third floor are not the finish line, but they are important milestones and should be celebrated! And if I know November, even after 300 days, they will definitely Jack you up for caving.

Roughly 2 weeks later, day 315 and apparently my math sucks and I have been sending out some week counts as well as day counts. I did the simple math incorrectly, a big thanx to Candoit getting it right last week. Big thanx also to candoit, Chick, Pab, JB and everyone else who sent congrats for 300. Sorry I had not checked back in here earlier to see those congratulations.

Today does mark 315, and I got an email from my father yesterday asking me if I was still KTC 314? Damn, I mention this whole thing to him once in the middle of my wife's 20 year old son's memorial service, and he still has the day count correct 51 days after hearing about it for the first time. For anyone who cant seem to get their own day count under control, let that sink in. He quit smoking over 30 years ago, remembers how hard it was, and is still pushing me to make sure I am on point. Get your numbers correct, get your ass on roll daily and early and this process works. I said it recently as well, tell everyone what you are doing. Everyone, even if they did not know that you were a nicotine addict. It may be a tough conversation at first, but every person involved in your quit can make a difference.

Spent some time (read as "A lot of time") reading through Candoit's intro. That guy is a total bad ass quitter, who quits through whatever life throws at him. He has had some enormously rough times in the last 3 years, and is in here every day to post his roll and offer support. Can't say how much he helped me early on and especially back in January while I was conducting. I added a great quote from him to my signature line today. I wrote it down when I read it 3 weeks ago, and now don't really recall the context, but it fits for me with the loss of that step son 8.5 weeks ago. We are working to find a way to move forward in our lives knowing full well that we will never "move on or forget." Thanx again brother.
