So I got a text from a quitter, still quit. He quit the dip over two years ago. But his question is have you ever heard of a former dipper getting an inflammatory bowel disease. Aka Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis? He's been really sick lately and has to get an upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and some capsule camera in my lower intestine to verify that's what's going on. He is just curious if anyone has heard of any former dippers that had such a thing happen to them? His Dad had UC and his Grandmother (Dad's Mom) had Crohn's disease. If it does to turn out to be either one he would be suspicious the former dipping caused it. Just curious if any or you had ever heard such a thing.
If any of you know anything on this subject or someone who does, could you please point them here for me? Appreciate it. Thank you.
I also asked of his symptoms:
"I know I shouldn't have cancer as I've had a CT scan recently and also a tumor marker test. My symptoms are bad abdominal cramping(pulsating, throbbing), diarrhea(chronic), cold sweats, weight loss of around 80 pounds, loss of appetite, vomiting and nausea sometimes, chronic fatigue, and that's what jumps to mind right now. No symptoms really of oral cancer and doctors have checked my mouth. Plus I don't chew so I'm not concerned about that as much? *that may be wishful thinking... but yeah lol* It can't be colon cancer as the CT scan was fine, the tumor marker was fine(detects all kinds of tumors in the body), and yeah. Feel free to post it on the site and I would really appreciate it :). I've read online smoking...can cause IBD. I'm sure if that's the case former smoking could and also former chewing maybe."
