Thanks all, I seem to be doing a little better tonight. The headache isn't as bad right now and I can feel my tongue again at the moment. Mentally I still feel foggy, but I am hoping that lifts as I bet I will be better at my job than I have been in ages once I finish withdrawal from nicotine. I know that the long haul will be tough but I am determined to beat this crap!
Stranger I've been reading through your messed up introduction posts from 500 DAYS ago. Thought you'd enjoy a flashback to remind you of just how sweet winning really is. Congratulations on a big achievement today! I know this sounds crazy, but this freedom really doeskeepgetting better.
Congrats on the 5th floor!! Proud to quit with you EDD!!

complacency

noun | com·pla·cen·cy |\kəm-ˈplâ-sən(t)-sç\

Definition of complacency

1:
self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies "When it comes to safety, complacency can be dangerous"

2:
an instance of usually unaware or uninformed self-satisfaction
I'm placing this here as a reference. We can always make our quits stronger - I did so today by helping a few brothers get on roll. I vow not to lose sight of ODAAT.

I've almost completed a full calendar year. 2016 will be my first nicotine free calendar year since the seventies. I couldn't have done it without help. Thanks to all of you who helped me stay on this path! :)

I can't wait to post roll tomorrow!

Day 469. There is a big rib eye steak sitting on the shelf right where I used to put my can of poison. My entire quit group has checked in for 20 days in a row. It's December and my life hasn't been better in years.

This place works as long as we listen and act.

I'm proud to be quit today. Stranger999 - day 469.
Awesome update my friend.

500 dead ahead one of the big ones. I promise, it keeps getting better.
yup, you ain't seen nothin' yet, but I think you get what work is saying. Look back at day 200 - the quit life is at least twice as good now as it was then. Guaranteed it just keeps magnifying. Freedom rules!
Keep killing it! You December guy's know how it's done. Damn proud of you
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Man if that don't take the cake right three stranger !! Perfect

I missed 2 out of the first 5 days , then go my ass handed to me by a vet. And been solid since

Worst part is I'll never be able to get those 2 missed days back.
But you are quit JB and that's the key!

DAY 455

I'm not exactly the same person who posted a day 6 here last year. That guy was deep in the fog and trying to find his way, but one thing remains the same - I can't wait to post day 456! :)

Thank you KTC!
You definitely are a brand new person with a whole different outlook on life and I'm damn proud to be on this journey with you! Keep helping everyone along the way because you my friend are definitely doing everything right! Thanks
How 'bout it brother. It seems like ages ago with our struggle now we just kick ass every day. It's awesome.
and... another big milestone straight ahead!

1/2 Comma in a month and a half! Nice work dude, honored to quit with you!
Keep it up! it's great how your paving the way for others too!
ODAAT

Lots of wisdom in that abbreviation. I have never missed a day on roll. I never want to forget that I am a nicotine addict. I vow to be on roll tomorrow. B)B

Great to see us late 2015 group quitters still here and active. My daily post in NOV is just as important to my posts in DEC, APRIL and the other groups supporting you mofos. I look forward to it every day. Seeing our names together in support of multiple groups makes my day every time i hit CTL a - CTL -x CTL V

Keep showing us the way Stranger. We had Chad PA in our group cave and is now in Feb 2017. Same exact days quit as me before he fell.

See you guys on roll tomorrow!
Glad your still here quitting with me EDD stranger, and you too JB and all of the other fine folks that make up this place!
