Day 160 for me - obviously I am cured... - um, NOT! :D

I think some here get to a point where they believe they are cured and that posting roll on a website is just a silly waste of time or worse - a reminder to somehow start using nicotine again. DANGER - that is the addict mind trying to talk you out of your commitment.

I try to read this thread from start to finish every now and then just to prevent that mindset. I went through hell to get to day 160. I am not going to go through that hell again. Hold me accountable KTC! I can't wait to post roll here in the morning! :)

I will be posting my Day 140 tomorrow. I'm not really sure where all the time went since I started my quit back on Labor Day weekend. Back then the days went by in slow motion and it seemed like the fog was going to last forever. This site was my daily life preserver.

Things are quite different now. The fog is all but gone and I had a clean dental appointment a few days ago. They didn't even give me shit about my receding gums this time. :D

What I didn't expect was the life changes. I find myself actually looking for new challenges at work when before I would have just skated by. I actually listen to my friends and family when we talk and I'm interested in what they have to tell me. It's made me think that the fog that has lifted was more than just the fog of my physical nicotine addiction - if that makes sense.

I'm really thankful for the connections that I have made here. It makes a huge difference knowing that there are folks who care about you, even if they are complete strangers. This place works and only a fool would throw away something that works. I was a fool before I got here; I'm not going to be a fool again.

I've said it before and I always mean it. I can't wait to post roll tomorrow. :)
Great post Stranger. I experienced the same positive changes at various points in my quit which was completely unexpected. It is amazing how much better our lives can be without nicotine! Like you, I consider posting roll a privilege, and KTC a blessing. And protecting my quit one of the most important things in my life.
Honored to post in this thread with 2 very bad bad asses.

It keeps getting better too. What seemed so hopeless... Seems so obvious... Once you buy into Ktc and the plan here. Great post stranger.
Great post Stranger!! I'm glad you are in Dec 15 with me! I'll be right there tomorrow posting roll and the next day and the next day etc.Proud to quit with you brother
StrngrDngr!
Hell of a quitter man.
Proud to quit with you.
Thanks for posting that. KTC works we know it as we live it. Our morning promise is crucial to our quit. You get it, I get it , December '15 gets it. Quit on brother. Dig out tomorrow.
Great Post from a great quitter. Keep it up, you inspire a whole shitload of us here, newbies and vets alike!

Strngrdngr!!

Congrats on your 100 days!
Enjoy your HOF celebration and continue helping others. Many have benefitted from your help.
I'm proud to quit with you today.
Congrats Stranger!!!!!!You have become the a great leader in here and you are the model example of what a quitter should look like. Proud to quit with you brother.
Congratulations on the Hall! The quit does on.
What a fantastic day! Dude today you can walk around with your head held high like you are ten feet tall. Only the strongest and toughest can do what you have done. And you've done it the right way.

The only people who fail after HOF are those who stop posting roll. I'm proud for you today, and I'll see you on roll tomorrow.

WELL DONE!
Some people have that swagger and you know right away they are gonna do well here and I was right about you! Congratulations my friend and thanks for the support!
Nice going bro! Keep spreading that quit wisdom around like you do, it is infectious!
Thanks so much everyone for the support! It's strange how far away 100 days seems until you actually get there. Having all of you with me for the journey made it much easier.

At the moment I'm enjoying a wonderful IPA that JGlav sent me. Thanks my brother! B)B

I can't wait to post roll again tomorrow!
