Quit day 6 for me

Day 189. And I haven't posted on my intro thread in a few months.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! Much love to you all for that! :)

I really appreciate all of the support that I have gotten for my quit from this site. That includes all of the support that I get here every morning on my cell phone. :)

Posting roll every day keeps me quit, so I will keep posting roll. It is simple! Stay quit and post roll every day. The formula is here for us all. Just do it!

Day 160 for me - obviously I am cured... - um, NOT! :D

I think some here get to a point where they believe they are cured and that posting roll on a website is just a silly waste of time or worse - a reminder to somehow start using nicotine again. DANGER - that is the addict mind trying to talk you out of your commitment.

I try to read this thread from start to finish every now and then just to prevent that mindset. I went through hell to get to day 160. I am not going to go through that hell again. Hold me accountable KTC! I can't wait to post roll here in the morning! :)

I will be posting my Day 140 tomorrow. I'm not really sure where all the time went since I started my quit back on Labor Day weekend. Back then the days went by in slow motion and it seemed like the fog was going to last forever. This site was my daily life preserver.

Things are quite different now. The fog is all but gone and I had a clean dental appointment a few days ago. They didn't even give me shit about my receding gums this time. :D

What I didn't expect was the life changes. I find myself actually looking for new challenges at work when before I would have just skated by. I actually listen to my friends and family when we talk and I'm interested in what they have to tell me. It's made me think that the fog that has lifted was more than just the fog of my physical nicotine addiction - if that makes sense.

I'm really thankful for the connections that I have made here. It makes a huge difference knowing that there are folks who care about you, even if they are complete strangers. This place works and only a fool would throw away something that works. I was a fool before I got here; I'm not going to be a fool again.

I've said it before and I always mean it. I can't wait to post roll tomorrow. :)

Like you, I consider posting roll a privilege, and KTC a blessing. And protecting my quit one of the most important things in my life.
