First off, I stopped posting Roll at 98...Not 100
I don’t know what your deal is either and the “holier than thou” crap is main reason for the bad smell around here.
Because the truth is you donÂ’t know me, and you donÂ’t know more about addiction than I do - you may know as much, but I really doubt you know more.
I do HAVE some new tools as a result of being here, I’m grateful for that - “take what works” right.
Fact is, this has been a nicotine detox center for me (they should have those), I will roll this substance abuse treatment into my current recovery program.
I do not have separate programs for:
Marijuana
Beer
Whiskey
Cocaine
Heroin
Pain pills
Meth
Acid
Etc
I donÂ’t need a separate program for nicotine.
See, addiction is all the same really, the substance use and behaviors (gambling, eating, sex, etc) are the symptoms, they are not the problem. Certain ones may burn you to the ground faster than others, and they way they screw with you brain chemistry is different, but the core fundamentals are the same.
We do these things to change the way we feel, plain and simple.
The real issue is why do we need to change the way we feel? That is the problem.
Why canÂ’t we just be ok?
No chemicals, no external stimulation, just be comfortable in our own skin...
To be free, one must get down to causes and conditions, focus on the inner being, figure out whatÂ’s up with the spirit, the soul.
All the great teachers said go within...
True Freedom exists
That said, if KTC is your only tool, IÂ’d suggest not putting it down, if itÂ’s working, keep working it.
The difference with me is I have a face to face support system, the likes of which few of you can imagine, donÂ’t assume you know whatÂ’s best for me.
IÂ’m gonna continue to be fantastic, I have recovered, and continue to practice recovery, if you watch those videos and donÂ’t see that, well so be it.
