Good God, I've been reading some weak shit on this site today.

Your initial post was one of 'em.

You may get pissed and think I'm a dick... I don't care. You need to decide what runs your life... you or a weed? Get pissed that you've wasted money ~ screwed up your health ~ compromised your self confidence. How do you get past the initial craves? Sac up and do it. It's pretty damn simple. Not easy but it is simple. Everything was better or more fun or more relaxing with dip... was a gigantic lie. Nicotine owned you and told you how it was gonna be. Time to change that bro. Own your decision. Own your life.
Like has been said in most post here, be a man grab your sac and quit romancing the nic bitch. I dipped 38 year's of my 51 and I consider myself a frigging idiot! How many year's have I taken off my life! I'm 263 days free of this cancer causing weed. I consider myself extremely lucky to be alive and cancer free. It's simple you either have the balls to take this bitch by the throat and get this done or you continue being a pussy and let this bitch run your life. You may dip and live to be 90 or you may get cancer from your very next dip! It don't take a big man to get this done just a big willpower! I'm not gonna sugar coat it, this shit is hard and you better want it for saving your life, your family needs your selfish ass! Yes I said selfish because dipping is all about you and robbing your family of a loved one. Quit dammit, I care and I'm sure your family does also! Man or mouse? Your choice
Damn...Just Damn.

What say you small block?

I quit with you today.
Just change your mind this minute.
Cant worry about next project or tomorrow. Just focus on now.

Today..... Just today.

Come on guys. Post roll and make that promise. You promise to not use nicotine of any form for that day. Spend the rest of the day loading up on water, reading, posting, and doing anything that will keep you from using nicotine.

It will suck ass. We have all been there and there are many on here with excellent advice. PM or post any of us and we will do what we can to help.

You can do this. I quit with you today. We are strong and we will make it to posting roll tomorrow.

you need air, you need water, you need food to nourish your body.

the only thing nicotine does is keep you from feeling the symptoms of withdrawl, nothing else.

get past this initial stuff, then learn what it does to your body, see what you have done in the past, and learn new routines, new ways, new thoughts to carry you into a clean future without this poison.

But you are here, you have made a decision, and that decision can be so powerful. Remember and honor why you have made it and you will do well.

I wish no hope as we do not hope here, but I will wish you well on your journey to rediscover yourself and learn new things on your way to being free from any plant.

How do i not do it when I have trained my brain for 16 years that I need this dip
Simple: Don't dip.

I don't mean to be snarky, but man up Chev. There is only one person in this world that controls whether that stuff ever enters your mouth again. Right now nicotine controls you. If you grow a pair and decide enough is enough, you control nicotine. The first way probably kills you eventually. The second way, well you have to see it to believe my brother.

I quit 70 days ago, and I by no means have it all figured out, but I do know this: There is no miracle cure. There is no secret. If you want to be quit, then quit. It takes hardwork and a ton of support from the guys and gals on this site, but it is not impossible. If you want it badly enough, you will do it.

What's it going to be?
"Fuck nicotine dude. You don't need it. And you don't want it. It didn't do a thing for you and you know it." - worktowin
"today you dissided that shit wont control your life. and it wont. unless you let it." - drome
"Not thinking about nicotine is for people who've never used nicotine. We threw that option away with the first dip or drag on a cigarette. We are addicts, and cannot become un-addicted." - wildirish317
"You need to decide how much you really want to be quit." - pky1520
We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597

Welcome Chevy. I would suggest that each morning you post your pledge to not use nicotine for the entire day. Our December quit group is here.

topic/11293904/113/

After you post your pledge stay clean for the day - then repeat the process tomorrow.

There are lots of articles and threads on this forum that have helped me a lot as well.

I am at Day 13 of my quit. I've used tobacco for 35 years. You can quit - if I can you can.

Post roll every day, I look forward to seeing your name in that list with mine.

I have the same issue brother.

I have been flirting with quitting for a few days now. I made it 3 hours last night without a dip and today started strong .... for a whole hour. I feel like a friggin idiot. The reason I say that is simple. Every night when we go to bed, we quit. I had 9 hours in quit time as of this morn when I woke up. Yay me ... until an hour later the urge hit. I like you need to figure it out. We can do this man. I need to just dump my dam can and have at it.

As you can tell from my join date, i joined last year and made it a week before I caved.
If I could I would. If I don't, it's because I am lazy.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark. Professionals built the Titanic.

Help!
« on: September 17, 2015, 03:04:00 PM »
Ok. last night I decided I wanted to quit dip. Like really do it this time! so I grabbed my can of cope and laid a big ol horse shoe all the way around my bottom jaw then dumped rest in the toilet then I flushed it and wimperd as I watched the one thing I loved/hate so much vanish . This is not the first time I have done this I have dumped several cans on the ground and say no more. But then the next day when the craving hit me I just bum one from my buddy and by that afternoon I'm full fledged dipping again with my own can of favorite snuff. How do i fight off that urge for that morning dip! How do i not do it when I have trained my brain for 16 years that I need this dip in order to fix this car/ work on anything. It's rediculouse !!!
