oh and if you haven't had any nic since friday you have been quit 3 days..
which would make you a member of the June quit group, not July - nice job on the roll post - make one with June and make that your new home man - 3 days quit and your body is close to being free of the nicotine. Now you've got the job of re-wiring your head to work right with no nic. It's not easy but we've all been there - you can do this too.

Cam welcome to the party. Lots of great guys here with sage advice. Listen to them. I am only a few days ahead of you in this ordeal but I used to see the Nic Bitch as something I did to relieve stress too, what I learned is that she doesn't even reduce stress she tricks you into thinking she will. There is a good article somewhere on here about nicotine. I will find it and pm it to you.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

I quit with you today

Welcome to KTC Cam, this is a great community and you'll find all the support you need plus if you put in the time and effort. There are guys here right now who care more than you do about your quit. Check the welcome center out if you haven't yet and poke around, read up. Change the fact that there are guys who care more about your quit than you do. Make this a top priority for you and you'll find you couldn't have stumbled across a better site. Again, welcome. Any questions aske em here or throw me or any other member a pm. We're here for ourselves first but it's always great to help a brother find his way to freedom!

have you posted roll yet? That is your promise for today that you wont use the rest of the day...then you come back and post first thing tomorrow morning...make your promise not to use...then don't use...and repeat..get numbers from guys in your quit group and anyone else that you can use to keep you accountable.
Boy I sure could use a beer right about now!

Hello all! Great to find this community. I've been using nicotine on and off since highschool. I've been dipping for the last five years. Picked up a can during a stressful time to help me get through it and just kept going. Decided a few months ago that it was seriously time to quit, but it has just been "after this can is gone . . ." over and over.

Anyway, I ran out of dip on Friday and ended up being very busy with family over the weekend. Couldn't get away to buy more. So this afternoon will make 72 hours without nicotine. I figure if I am ever going to quit the stuff now is the time. Feeling some fog today, but honestly can't tell if its withdrawal or just a bad Monday. Look forward to meeting you folks.
