Has anyone used Chantix? Just wondering....
There have been some folks around that have used it, however, I personally have not. I've spent some time looking around the web to get some info on it and have seen the same concerns come up time and again, it is accused of causing severe depression.

My personal opinion has always been to do whatever it takes to keep nic outta your system and no quitter is lesser for using something like that. But as always, talk to your doctor and get the whole scoop. And if you start getting dumbass thoughts, get off that shit.
I've always wanted to save a life, so I started with mine.

Beautiful family you've got there! That truly is the best thing to live for right there! By the way, I'm sorry but those bouncers just can't be ignored....

Nice having you here!

As a young father myself, let me impart some quit wisdom on you: If you start thinking about buying a tin and throwing a dip in your mouth, think about your daughter.

Think about dying of mouth cancer when she's four or seven or nine years old.

Think about how you'd feel if you were driving her to daycare, drove off the road, and killed her in a horrific accident...all because you got distracted while putting a fatty in your mouth while driving or scrambling to pick up a spitter you spilled.

Think about leaving your wife alone to raise your little girl.

Think about what a useless, selfish prick you are if you dip.

In fact, if I find out you caved and had a dip, I am going to fuck you up personally.

Nice job hfd, these dudes know what they are talking about. Welcome to the site! Hang close, read everything you can, get to know your quit bro's  sis's, and get involved.

You can't post pictures in the forums you can only post links to photobucket, flickr, etc.

Edit: And throw out all that hope, try, wish, self doubt, blah blah blah, it doesn't work. Just belly up and quit.

You got this shit!

I just turned 30.  I've been dipping Wolf Wintergreen since College.  I have a beautiful baby girl who is 5 months old and a even more beautiful wife.  I think to myself I need to do it for them, but the reality is I have to do it for myself.  Am I ready?  I'm not sure.  That is what I"m battling now.  I'm prayed about it.  I know I have to quit.  I just don't know if I can.  Sure I can go a couple days without it.  When I'm sick.  This will be a uphill battle for me.  I need some words of encouragement.  I'm strong.  I think....
Welcome!! Read as much information on this website as possible, read it 3, 4, 5 times over. Click on this link http://www.killthecan.org/facts/cancerfacts.asp
Read everything. Are you strong right now? NO - You're still chewing. Can you become strong? Absolutely!!! You need to quit.
Do you want you're daughter to tell people in the future you died from tobacco use? Do you want to explain to people someday that your face is all butchered up from chewing tobacco? OF COURSE YOU DON'T!!!!!!!!!! You are in the right place to quit. You just need support like the rest of us. You can do it, you just have to make the decision that you're ready. Make the commitment bro!!!
Please post pics of your wife.
Dan and Loot totally have it right.
Cast your doubt away, read the Tom Kern story http://www.killthecan.org/facts/jennykern.asp
If this does not drive home how the people around you are affected by your habbit then you are not mature enough to quit. Since you have a family that looks up to you and you joined the site then you have shown you are mature enough to quit. Read everything here, join the December group, flush any doubt along with the last bit of dip you have and saddle up for the ride. Don't be a pussy and have one last dip, be a man and flush it now and get the battle going. I will support you 100%, send me a PM and I'll give you a number so you can call me if you have the urge to dip.
MDG is right on. Weekend is coming up and easier to quit on anyways. Day 1 and 2 you can be at home and not at work. By Monday you will almost be out nicotine's control and into Day 3. Don't wait on it, do it now, you won't regret it.
