You say surgery is January 5th? And u gotta quit by December 5th? Please be careful. For every day you "plan" to quit, puts you one day closer to your surgery. Your gonna wake up one day and not have the "choice" to quit. You have the choice to quit today. And the only way you are going to STAY quit is if YOU decide to quit. Not because some doctor told you that you have to! Make the decision to quit. Look at the cancer pics on here. And then tell me if you wanna ever put that shit in your mouth again. Quit with all these brothers and sisters TODAY!!! Why wait? Your health depends on it!!

So I decided why not take this as an opportunity to hopefully quit dipping for good.

Lobes,

Welcome and best of luck with the surgery. Spend as much time on this site as you can.

We here at KTC, do not 'hopefully' quit for good. We quit one day at a time...everyday! Learn it, know it, love it.

Sweet, seeing the posts in reverse order kind of fucked with my head but I got the hang of it now. I'll be posting on it if i awake from my slumber tomorrow. Super excited to quit.

Thanks for the welcomes fellas
Highly recommend posting roll call right now! Give the Nic Bitch a little time and she'll find a way to convince you to put it off some more...and some...and some more. Dump your shit and make your promise to not use ANY nicotine for the rest of today. Then wake up and post roll call again tomorrow. Do it now!

Need a little motivation? We have a January quitter who is 19 yrs old. Was diagnosed with oral cancer a couple of weaks after quitting. That last one could've done it to her. She got it cut out and is doing her chemo plan now.

Don'[t let the next dip be the one that cuts out your jaw, or like my buddy, gives you terminal stomach cancer.

You obviously are on a healthy roll, you can do this!

Hi Lobes.

We at the KTC quit one day at a time.

Your surgery is in how many days? Don't care if you can't make it through the day.

When tomorrow rolls around, we'll worry about it then.

Keep stringing enough of these days together, and you are quit.

To get started, I would suggest visiting our "Welcome Center" here.

Once you have read over that, and have tossed your cans, declared yourself quit, and want to jump into some badass quitting, go here.

Your group is February 2012. That signifies the date when you will have accomplished 100 days quit.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Theres a lot of people that come here, especially vets, that WANT to be reminded that they are addicts.-Tarpon 6/12

Just as a building starts with architectural drawings. Your daily quit begins with a promise.-Scowick 2/13

Here and now, focused on today, minute by minute, whatever it takes, I promise to all my bros and myself not to become a negative stat and stay quit!-krok 1/15

I want everyone to be quit. Even the assholes.-Probe1957 1/18

Ignoring history or erasing history fixes nothing and leads you inevitably down the same path.-69franx 04/30/2021

gotta quit for surgery
« on: November 10, 2011, 03:46:00 PM »
Hey all, I'm 20 years old, from Atlanta,GA, been dipping since I was 15. I also have been smoking on and off since I was 14 but recently quit the smoking about 2 months ago.

I guess you can say my body has been fueled by huge amounts of nicotine for a long period now.

I have to get some minor surgery on my ear's and it requires me to be off nicotine 4 weeks prior to it and after. So I decided why not take this as an opportunity to hopefully quit dipping for good.

I made the appointment for surgery on January 5th, today is November 10th. I need to be off nicotine for at least 4 weeks before the surgery. So I will be setting up a quit plan here soon.

Basically just looking for some support and crap. I recently started working out again and eating healthy (hence why I quit smoking 2 months ago) and lost 10lbs. Been putting on dat muscle and quitting dip would be another awesome thing to add to my check-list.

Anything I should know about the website, how the roll-call thing works, etc. Thanks guys!
