If you want to quit you have to first hate it. Hate dip, hate the companies that make it, and hate the smell of it, the look of it. Hate everything surround it. Then you have to admit that you're addicted to it. We all are. I am. Then start posting roll. Promising all of your brothers in your quit group that you will be quitting every day with them. Don't ever ever skip roll. Then get a quit plan. A series of events you would follow should you fall into a week moment of cave. This typically is some numbers of others KTC members. If you would like my number, shoot me a pm, and I'll gladly give it to you. Also, go into the chat room when you are having problems. It's a great place to vent.

Lastly, if you really really want to do this then you can do it. Don't do it for your kids, do it for you. You have made a great choice in joining. I love it. I'm on day 21, and have zero interest in going back to it. Guess what? You can be the same way. Save your life, and don't go back. I look forward to reading your pm, and seeing your name in the HOF someday. It's going to be awesome!!!

Dipped for prob years. Ive quit for almost a year and stupid me started back. Quit for 3 months and started back 3 weeks ago. I dont get why I do it everytime I dip I think of my kids and think about life with half a face. So I dont enjoy myself. Its time to man up for good I put a dip in this morning and my mouth was kinda hurting and like most post ive read I find myself feeling with my tongue scared to death. So I threw the dip out and threw the red seal as far as I could and bought some sunfliwer seeds. I think the support group will help I love my kids more than anything and this is for them and my jaw too.
Hey Red, think for a minute. No emotion, just real brain power for a minute. Dude, we have all been there. We throw the can in disgust, but then our emotions and our addiction brings us back and we feel like it is part of us. Well, shit it is. We ARE ADDICTS, man. that's what we do, we finger fuck nicotine every hour of every day. Hell, we put it before our family. We put it before our work, we put it before ourselves. Think about that.. But it is because "they" got the upper hand on us. This stuff is real and it is a drug. Some of the most addictive shit on the market and it is Legal. It is legal because it is a money tornado for the tax havens of this country. Think about your sales tax, your real estate tax, your income tax. Hell, tobacco tax is a daily tax because we buy it every freaking day. Don't hate the addiction, come down on the man who sells it to the guy you buy it from.

From the beginning this has been a windfall for the tobacco companies. The CEO's, the farmers, the middlemen. they have gotten rich off of your destruction. Your children have given to their rich lifestyles. NO more. don't feed them anymore cash. Why would you??? they are a predator and the addict is their prey. Stand up and fight. I don't care if it kills you, don't give them shit. Live to fight them and if it kills you, do it on your terms not theirs. fuck them, they don't deserve to hold something dear to their hearts the way you hold your children. Now, take it away from them, take your life and your loved ones and never feed the predator again. Make his ass find a new line of work. He gets no money from us here at KTC. Come post roll with me.

Red You found the right place. Read Read Read Keep posting roll even if you screw it up. I messed up roll for 2 weeks and pissed everyone off. I found that cinnamon was a great help with my quit. Big red gum, cinnamon toast, or a drop of cinnamon oil in a glass of water when an urge came on.

Red, this is more than just a support group...if you play your hand right, it will become a way of life. Like Starr said, every single one of us is an addict. Applejack was a fiend. But what makes us different than other addicts is that we don't just stop dipping (like you did off and on). We are quit and our quits are so badass that they have become powerful enough to beat the nic bitch day in and day out. So...again, look at Applejacks self-reported dip stats, then look at his badass quit stats. He's creme de la creme of quitters. So is Erussell and so is everyone on this thread. We are the cool kids. Keep posting roll, every day, build your accountability, read, learn, and quit like fuck. Do so, and you will immediately be in the crew and we'll quit like fuck with you every. damn. day.

Bro... I dipped for 25 years.
2 cans a day for a good chunk of it.
Each day was an exercise in how/when I was going to dip.
Every. Day.
I was an absolute junkie. I made myself sick some days I used so much.

I dropped it cold turkey last April. 448 days ago.
If I can... You can.
Own it and freedom is yours.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Good for you! You deserve to be free and you deserve to live. However at this point only you can decide if you will be free or a slave. We danced with nicotine now we have to face the fact she will always whisper sweat nothings in our ear. There is no magic bullet to make this go away in a painless manner. There is however a way to stay quit, and you Sir just got lucky enough to stumble upon it. KTC is the way. Follow the program to a T, submit yourself to it, and deviate not! I dipped 1+cans a day of Copenhagen for over 20 years and tried every way in the world to quit. With the help of this site today I am 435 days into my freedom. Dig in my brother we will quit with you, your not alone.

One final note, don't do this for anyone other than yourself. Your reason enough.
I would rather lose to a cheater than win as a cheater.

rs/bd, The previous rest periods you experience are in the past. Today you're quit. This quit needs to be for, about and by you. Sounds strange, probably but it's true. Do something different this last time to stack the deck.

You're making the best decision of your life and if you are ready, and it sounds like you are, thus is the right place. The price of admission is posting roll every morning, this is your promise to yourself, and all of the rest of us addicts, that you will not use nicotine today.

If you haven't already, read up on how to post role in the Welcome Center , then post role in your group October.

October is full of bad asses. They will hold you accountable to post role and that you live up to your word, and they expect you to do the same for them.

Welcome Redseal. Reason for you running back to the can all the time is because you are a nicotine addict, just like myself and everyone on this website. We have all dealt with addiction in some form. Read read read on this website and gain some knowledge from your fellow quitters. There are some real badasses around here that can throw down some great quitting advice. I would start by reading the Welcome Center that you see right when you log in. Learn how to post roll and get to know some of your fellow quitters. The tools of success are here, you just need to grab them and utilize them. If you need anything please look at your inbox in the top left of your screen. You should see a (1).
