im 31, chewed for 15 years now. Bunch of changes in my life in the last 8-9 months and i started upping my dosage quite a bit. My lip has been killin me for the last few weeks. Dumped the can out today, i dont have any spares. I am gonna do this. Thanks for any help you can give.
Post early everyday, keep your word for that day no matter what. Learn everything you can about this addiction, read everything you can on this site, get in chat, spew some shit and get ready for this to be one of the hardest things you have ever done.

Get thru 3 days and it gets better. Then you never have to do those days again.

need a number? pm me and i will send you mine - but get some from somewhere.

Hey you came here, so you know what you need to do.

Dip has never made any real stress go away. Quitting dip will just make you stronger in all aspects of your life. We have had members go through divorces, death of a family member, etc., and they stayed quit.

Above is a Hall of Fame speech from a member who quit while going through a divorce, check it out.

Montywa...

First, good luck on the marital issues, either way.

Now, to your other question. I dipped for 36 years, and by the grace of God am still cancer free. You never know which dip is going to be the one that triggers problems that will place more stress on you than you can ever imagine. We believe that there is never a better time to quit that RIGHT NOW!!! Any excuse you come up with to not do it is just another sign of your addiction.

As you said, either way, you want to be quit by the time your other issues work themselves to fruition. Why not sit down right now and write down all the reasons you want to quit, then get started. Stay close to KTC, read all you can, hang on tight, and get ready to start your life free from nicotine's hooks in your system.
What's the difference between a liberal and a puppy??? The puppy stops whining and shitting on everything when he grows up.

1st day....
« on: September 16, 2007, 12:20:00 PM »
Just found the site and it is great. My problem is i am in the early stages of a divorce(i think). I am trying to put all aspects of my life on a good track. I have been chewing for 14 years. It is the last bad habit i have. I quit drinking 7 years ago and have never looked back. My problem is that i want to quit chewing but i am worried that i wont be able to handle some of the emotional stresses that my wife is going to put me through and now would be a bad time. The flip side to this is that when i am either happily married again to my current wife or we seperate for good, i wont feel a need to quit and therefore will not quit. I guess the real question is...should i suck it up and deal with my current problems along with the stresses of not chewing or should i hold off and possibly have a more succesful attempt at not chewing for life.

Thanks for any replies.
