Hey Bushman,
I'm in the suck here with you. I'm going into the night on day 2. Lucky for me, I have to go on watch all night long so I will have to stay up all night. Not my normal schedule so I will try to be on here most of the night. I'm happy to be quitting with you and the rest of October.

The best advice I have for you right now is to take it one day at a time. I know this will get better. I can't wait, I'm right there with ya.
Gentlemen,

The sleeping will get better, just hang in there. Before you know it you will be getting some of the best sleep of your life.
I sleep like a baby now. No late night dips, just off to dreamland. I normally don't even need my alarm, I'm usually up 5-10 min before it goes off. I did the toss and turn up every few hours thing for the first couple of weeks. It will get better.

Yo Bushman - all completely normal.

Hang in there - like everyone said, it gets better.

I worked my ass off around the house the first couple of weekends - replaced some drywall, painted a room, cleaned out the garage. Hit the chores hard just to keep my mind off all the weird crap that happens when you quit.

In the beginning I enjoyed the fog a bit - it's like being a little drunk. But it gets exhausting.

It's temporary.

I'm at day 21...
I still get the fog but I have more days in between where i'm clear-headed then foggy.

Insomnia's getting better. I was not sleeping at all. Then I started dozing off around 4am, then 3am, I got to sleep at 1am last night. It's a gradual thing.

Hi Bushy,
You're doing the right thing!!!!
It gets better. Lots of GOOD changes, just allow them to happen.
Sleep...take something...lots of quitters use melatonin, nyquil, whaterver helps you sleep and not interfere with your Powerfull quit!!
sleeping gets better, I am day 56 and sleep is alot better than in the beginning...I actually sleep through without waking now.
Water is very important in your quit...drink lots of cool/cold water...piss alot...it won't hurt you....just have to replenish with gatoraid or similar like: Cal-Mag Fizz. I use the cal-mag fizz...helps regulate sleep and replenishes while I drink a gallon of water a day.
Lots of changes are going to happen....you're getting more oxygen to your brain now...feels weird and wires you up some...it's normal. It gets alot better, I promise YOU!
Proud to quit with YOU TODAY. 'zombie'
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?

It will get better! Hang in, quit each day. You are getting healthier, believe it or not.
Your sleep will stabilize, probably return to your previous pattern.
You do know chew is a laxative, right? So without that it will take your system a little time to adjust to not having a laxative constantly administered.
Focus on quitting hard today!
Bushy, listen to my bro Tony. Things do improve and it is very worth it. I wish you could see things up here with me and Tone. Right now you fight bushy. Fight through like a motherfucker. Laugh at the Bitch. Get some Benadryl for night time, cut back on the coffee, drink water, buy some Miralax, exercise, read etc etc etc.....And Quit!

PS The Miralax will help you "focus on quitting hard, not shitting hard"

There will be many more changes. Some will be annoying, some will not. Stay quit and let the new, healthier person emerge.

I am a newbie at day 48 and I can tell you it does get better. Still one day at a time but man the days are better. The occasional short crave but longer and longer periods of time where I don;t even think about the shit anymore. My family wonders why I don't dissapear anymore (to get my fix). Best decision you will ever make. I was a 32 year addict. You can do this!

Just starting day three , I hope its better than day 2 I made the mistake of blowing up on my wife now I'll be paying for that one for the next few days. I'm still reaching for my chew almost unconsciously , then I realize I quit.
I can tell you it gets better faster as the days go by. I am not that far ahead of you at all, I'm on day 5. We can do this together. Try not to take things out on your family, remember they did not force you to start, and they should not be the reason you are quitting. Quit for you, and be mad at you. Or use your groups board, I have a lot, and it helps more then you could know. It doesn't seem like it would but man...........it does. If you need anything pm me, I'll slap you around if you need it lol. STAY QUIT BROTHER! We are all in the same boat, and we can't afford loosing a man at the oars.
