Hi my names Chris .
I'm on day 4 cold turkey . I chewed  cope from the time I got up till bed a can every 2 days or so.
So far I'm sticking with bird seed and gum it helps .
Fell like afucking zombie still . Ever time I stand up I'm looking or felling my pants for a damm can . It sucks
My wife and freinds are real happy that I quit.

I'm going to make it this time.
Glad you are here man. Unfortunately this is not my first quit so I have a little background on first few weeks. I know it is hard to believe but I promise the fog will lift and you will slowly stop checking your pants for a can. It will get better, focus on one day at a time, one hour at a time. Check your inbox, call or text if you need anything.

Hey Chris,

When you go from sad and depressed to every little thing irritates you. Use this site to nic rage.

Your family is supporting your quit. They won't know how to help even if they try. So don't be pissy with them. Overdo it on kindness to them. Vent here. If something bugs you... share. If you want to pick a fight...plenty of people look for fights here. Then they become best friends.
(Fucking comedy relief for me to read but it is safe and effective in the quit.)

Just keep the raging nic bull away from your family. Last thing you need or want to hear is, "I liked you better when you chewed."

You would rather hear, "Honey I know how tough this has been for you but I really like the new you. Can I make sweet, sweet love to you and help you through this quit? I could start of by making you dinner, and while you're eating your steak, I will tenderize your tube steak under the table. I'm wearing your favorite bra and cotton panties. Take me in the bedroom and show me who's in charge!!!" You carry her into the bedroom. After you have had wild crazy sex she says, "That was awesome, why don't you go to sleep and I will go clean up the kitchen." I love you so much. I am so lucky to have such a man satisfy me."

Just as a disclaimer that isn't exactly how it went down for me but my wife and I have enjoyed each other more over the last 40 days. Taking a nic rage out on family is so counter productive. You have all the tools here to maintain civility in the home.

Use it and vent, rage and use us as therapy. You will be better and get through the pain. Then the rage goes to tobacco. Those FUCKING Pricks! I am so pissed at the tactics they use to recruit the innocent and lock them into an addiction. Tobacco is a chemical agent the terrorist use to get rich. Thy prey on our baser instincts to get rich. They don't even care if you die. They will replace you with a new 6th to 9th grade boy. These companies give back to the community with cancer, medical costs and addictions. FUCK THEM and the dirty habit of chew.

I am so glad you quit. I love that you are going through hell to get to freedom. You will value your freedom so much more.
Wow! I need to be nicer to my wife...didn't know that is how it is supposed to go down. Thanks for the advice Mthomas - you truly are a great quit brother. I am headed home to try out the new tactics!!! Will keep you posted.....

Glad you are here.

First things first. Don't think about quitting forever. Just focus on one craving at a time. Second, when you post roll in the July quit group, you are giving us your word that you will not dip today. That is it. One day at a time, one craving at a time.

The first week sucks. It sucks bad, we have all been through it. Some of us chewed a lot longer than you have and we made it through the first week alive.

Congratulations, the choice that you made 2 days ago may have saved your life.
