I cant believe you asked how to handle the stressfull days. Its simple, mydol and a heavy duty pad! Evil One said it best. Have the balls to say no. Take it hour by hour, rather than day by day. When you get the major craves read our contract. If you still want to cave come back here, post that your a big pussy, and quit wasting our time. I pray you make it, hell I hope we all do, but at least man up!

My big question is how do I handle shitty and stressful days, or just mindless dipping at work?
Stick something else in your mouth. The need for oral fixation can be strong. Hell, I still use the fake dip about once a day a year later.

Use seeds, gum, fake dip, coffee grounds, atomic fireballs or whatever you need to curb it.

It will get better, I promise you that.

Gotta want it bro. Fight, scratch, claw, scream, cry, jack off...whatever it takes. If you want it bad enough you will figure it out.

Best news for you is, you don't have to do it alone. We are all here to help you every step of the way and share out secrets. You are no more addicted nor stressed out than anyone else who has come stumbling through the ktc doors. The playbooks has been written. All you have to do is follow it. Its hard as fuck, but worth every second of it.

You DENTIST says soon there will be nothing he can do for you. What are you waiting for, a DOCTOR to say the same thing? By then it's too late. Literally.

chriskov,

Step 1 - insert both thumbs into the front of your waistband
Step 2 - push thumbs outward, away from your body
Step 3 - look down

Now, what do you see? If you said "balls", then congrats. You have the best tool of all to quit once and for all. Those balls will help you get through those "shitty and stressful days" too.

The other tools needed are all found here on KTC. Each of us has gone through the exact same fears and anxiety. Despite what your mom says, you're nothing special. Your an addict just like us. We are quit and dealing with it one day at a time and so can you.

Click on the ghey salmon colored Welcome Center link here. Read those steps. Learn about what/why/how we "Post Roll". That's our pledge to ourself, our group, and everyone else on KTC that we will not use nicotine in any way, shape, or form (including cigars) for today. Quit for today. When tomorrow comes, repeat today.

Go ahead and fire off some PMs to your brothers and sisters in June 2013. Offer your phone number and I'm sure they'll return theirs. In a moment of weakness we reach out. That's the "Accountability" thing that you have already heard about. Get to know these quitters on a personal level, they will support you and save your life.

Welcome aboard with your fine decision to quit.

Welcome to the site chriskov. The wisdom to quit lies within and so does the support. You pose an excellent question, and the answer is.......one day at a time.

Truthfully, you have a lot of hard days before you, but, it can be done. Thousands of us quit each day, one day at a time.

This is why we are here. index.php?showtopic=125

This is how we quit. index.php?showtopic=120

I have to quit. Failure isn't an option.
« on: March 18, 2013, 09:14:00 PM »
Long story short, I've been dipping for roughly ten years and went to the dentist for the first time in 5 years about 5 months ago. He looked in my mouth and said it would take two years of no dip for the damage to fix itself, and this won't even be 100% of it.

He said if I waited another two years to come in there would be nothing he could do for me.

I stopped dipping that day, and started again about three weeks ago. Between that stop and start I was smoking cigars daily.

I'm tired of being a slave to nicotine and am done with it.
