No hard feelings guys, I'm probably just a little irritable.

I'm not just quitting because I got caught...but I am using it as a major motivator. Hell, I found a great gal and can't lose her because of something like this. I could easily keep hiding it from her but I made a conscious decision to stop in order to prove something to myself.

I have even lost the urge to toss back a few unnecessary cold beers after work. Haven't had a drop since I quit because its a major trigger for me. Beer goes great with a chew and chew goes great with a beer.

Point taken guys. I'm new to this.
Yep I can count the few times I quit. Reasons being:

1.) How long can I go? - 1 Month in College
2.) Daughter was born - She came out OK and my life didnt end - 8 months
3.) Low on Funds. Dip too expensive - won the lottery and made it 6 months

19 years later and I am back with my head out of my ass finally and I said I hate my life on nicotine. I don't have a "reason" I am quit. That reason can always be fixed. Health, money, stress, life whatever it can change and that reason isn't there anymore.

You have to be so fuckin sick of what you have done to yourself. Shitin for an hour, spittin between your legs and have run down your leg because you missed, Stankin bottle in your car when its hot outside, staying up late losing sleep. Life sucks on nicotine. Its is a whole lot better being done with it. Did you like your life before she found that tin?

Are you ready to be done forever?

I've been chewing for about 12 years. Tried to quit a few times...totally half assed it and never made it more than a day or two.

Well it's different now because my girlfriend found my tin. Had been hiding it for a while. Shit just got real and now it's time to kick the habit for good.

Look forward to this quit group.
Schmidt, you and I both know that you could continue hiding your filthy little addiction. I hid it from my wife for 10 years of marriage. This quit needs to be something you want to do for YOU. Don't be like me - constantly looking for a reason to leave the house, sneaking out of conversations to spit, taking crazy long showers/dumps, waiting till she goes to bed and staying up too late, and on and on for years. What a miserable, sad existence.

Quit for you. Quit because that shit will kill you. Quit because there is freedom outside of nicotine. Quit because you're tired of constantly surveying your surroundings for a place to spit.

Post roll with us Schmidt. Your Quit Group is October 13. We will support you as much as we can. There are hundreds (thousands?) of people on this site every day that will be thrilled to help you win the daily battle. Lots of daily battles.

PM me your number if you'd like me to hound you via text through these beginning stages.

You are learning we all didnt get here with all the answers because if we knew them all before we got here and still dipped then we would have to be pretty damn dumb.

Hang in there stick with it I sent you a pm. When was your last dip? This is a NICOTINE free site.

Thats right. If you're quitting because your wife/husband/mom/child doesn't like it, you're most likely gonna fail. it HAS to be about you wanting to be done with it... So hopefully thats the case. and Welcome to the site! Glad to be quit with you today!
