OK, here goes. 36 years old, have been chewing for 20 of them, which is scary knowing that's more than half my life. Have tried to quit a few times before, with limited success, but keep falling back into it. Just discovered this forum today so figured I'd join - some moral support may be just what I need for the long haul quit.
I've quit chewing several times before using nicotine gum, and for various lengths of time. I'm sure I'm not the only guy to have swapped one source of nicotine for another. Problem is it's expensive, and just a different form of addiction. So I went cold turkey (i.e. nicotine free) on Saturday, and this is day 3. So far so good, but am defnitely feeling the fog. Withdrawals not so bad otherwise.
How do you do the roll call thing? And how long until the effing cravings go away?
