I also used chantix for 4 weeks at the beginning of my quit. I want to warn you about one thing. Chantix may help with the physical pain of quitting but, It will not, I repeat, WILL NOT help you with the mental mind games. The physical part is easy. Its the mental mind fuck your going through that sucks.
Let me introduce you to who we call the Nic Bitch. She comes around every once in awhile and whispers shit in your ear. She comes up with all sorts of excuses why you should use nicotine. She'll tell you "you can have just one", its ok you can quit again. Something stressful or shitty will happen and she'll be right there in a flash to say, "you need me now, you need me, I'm right here, take a drag, dip, snuff." She's a nicotine ghost and she will haunt you until the day your strong enough to make her go away for good.
The only way to beat her down is to stick close to this site and be involved. You will find some people in here that will have your back and help you beat the bitch to the ground.
Quitting nicotine is the hardest easiest thing you'll ever have to do. The easy part, never put nicotine back into your body. The hard part, finding the strenghth, courage and will power to do so.
We'll help you with the hard part. The easy part is up to you. Welcome!
