document the highs and the lows of your quit so when the nic bitch comes calling or everything in your world falls apart, you will have your quit history to look back on and be able to say oh hell no , I'm going back!

Well I just hit day 20 of MY quit and thought I would share some more observations from my journey...

1. I actually sometimes go a couple of hours without thinking or craving a dip.

2. I actually smelled copenhagen from a co-worker the other day and I swear that is the nastiest smelling shit I have ever encountered. No wonder people hardly ever start out with Cope (fucking big tobacco)

3. Since quitting I have started to crave energy drinks..Monster, 5 hour, etc..

4. The bitch (I won't even refer to her by name) is relentless in trying to rationalize why I should just have one dip for doing so good on my quit.

5. I have put on 5 pounds since quitting

6. I will never, ever, put that shit in my lip for the rest of the day..

More to come

Random observations from day 10 of my quit..

1. The support of people is starting to wane. They usually respond with a short "good job" and that's about it. Get active. Get in Chat. PM two new brothers daily. Become the goto when someone goes awol. Read other months so you know what to expect. Rememeber detective, It takes balls to quit, lots and lots of balls.

2. I really miss taking a shit on a daily basis MiraLax

3. Smokey Mountain fake is really getting me through the suck. That I guess will be my second quit who fucking cares? Really? I used fake for the first 180 days, then, decided to not use. It was nothing to stop. You can switch things up if that makes you feel better (smc, hooch, jakes, bacc, teabags, coffee, 9v battery, anal beads, etc....)

4. I am feeling physically better since my quit. My body forgot what it was like to be and feel normal. Yep, 2 decades of nicotine caused a tunnel to my "feel-good-how-to-deal-with-life" portion of my brain. It takes a while for your brain to reroute and for you close down the tunnel you built.

5. My sleep is starting to get better but far from normal. Normal? You flooded your neuroendocrine system with nicotine daily, and you know what normal is? Ha. Take benadryl at night, drink calming tea, meditate, read the Good Book, journal, learn magic, exercise, .....link up with me when Black Ops II comes out. But don't worry about sleep, it just happens

6. The best way to quit is one day at a time. Didn't get that until I quit. Never, ever, ever forget this. Thoughts of forever just make an addict rationalize caving. You are not unique. You are an addict. Your heroine is nicotine. You can never have just one.

More to come in a few days..
Keep your intro topics together. Post here and in your month so that your quit brothers will benefit too.

These are very true for me as well. especially #3. This stuff is a lifesaver to the point that I worry about how to get rid of it later.

Violence may not be the "best" option, but it is still an option.

Remember to pay it forward. if you feel that support is starting to wane, get more digits, tell someone else to stay strong. True there will be quite times, but sometimes you might just need to blurt out "Stay Strong" to someone else.

Well I've made it to day 9. Feeling better everyday. I'm starting to believe.
The want brought you here to the site

The need keeps you here on a daily basis

But never give up the believing as without it the want nor the need will take hold and keep you quit.

great job and keep up the good work.

When will I start to feel normal and not completely shitty like I feel right now.  I'm on day 3 btw.  The headaches have gotten somewhat better though.
What's normal? Most of us have been controlled all of our adult lives by the poison in our system!
They will get better. But normalÂ…..you will have to find a new normal. You spent the majority of your adult life as an addict. Normal to you is not normal to the rest of society. It gets easier, but you will always be an addict. So you have to take that into consideration when deciding what normal is.
