It's been 11 days and I am still tobacco free. I have met so many wonderful people and have a phone full of numbers. I have heard numbers like 100, 500, 1000+ days quit and more. These numbers feel like mountains compared to my 11 days quit. Thanks to the people in the November Group and others that have been with me during these tough, fog filled days. Cheers and QUIT ON !!!
11 is a great number construction man. You know what 11 means brother. You may not have as many days racked up as some, but your just as quit. We are all 5 bucks and a few minutes away from failure.

The good thing is we choose not to fail. Post roll daily and keep our promise.

Hold your head proud my friend. 11 days and continuing one day at a time. Glad to be quit with you.
Thanks srans !!! It's true that we are all just five bucks away from failure. I am 49 and dipped for 31 years. People would sometimes tell me..."If you quit, think of the money that you will save !!!" It never made any sense or difference to me because I am a builder and real estate developer and two dollars a day still doesn't mean much to me. Dipping did not help me do my job better or negotiate with subcontractors any better. It just made me a drug addict. Cheers My Brother, I am glad to be QUIT with You !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

It was worktowin that told me early in the quit..."Don't worry, you will only have to go thru these horrible withdrawals one time!!!" At that point my brain was still fueled by nicotine and could not rationalize the assumptions that he was making. The bottom line is that he had way more confidence in me that I had in my self. Thanks Michael !!! The mentors on the site are more than just friends, they are life savers. Cheers..............................
Once the fog clears, you can see clearly! Congratulations on staying the course and keep on posting roll every day. It has worked for me and I know it can work for you. There are some great people on this site that genuinely care about folks. This is a family.
Miles hit this dead on. That fog is something else. It seems like it won't ever pass. When you are in it, you are sure that it is a new permanent part of your life. Well, it isn't. It will leave. And when it does, you will not believe how clear the sky will be. Remember, though, you are the one that invited and allowed this fog to be a part of your life. You are the one that invited and allowed the withdrawals. And now you are the one that has to work to rid them from your life. It isn't easy - it isn't quick. But it is sooooooooo worth it.

In the meantime, I have another suggestion. Let the Czarina at your house drink some Stoli if she would like, but it would be best for you to take a pass on booze for a little while. Many a fine quit have turned into a pause because of booze. And believe me, if anyone on this site would encourage you to imbibe - it would be me. So encourage that Russian goddess to drink your share this weekend. Focus on keeping quit, and you'll be golden.

This site is all about accountability and integrity. As long as you post roll every day and keep your word, the people on here will do anything to help you. You are doing your part, and it is great to be on your team today.
Hey Man, I just read your whole thread, not sure how I missed it til now. You are kicking ass and gaining the understanding that only us quitters have. Stay on here, and stay quit. There have been times my quit seemed easy, during those times I still posted roll and used my KTC library card and read everything I could, and that made all the difference when the bitch came back.
If you want more accountability, PM me and I will send you my number.
I don't mean to offend, but it would mean the world to me if you could ask your Russian wife to say "I will get you Moose and Squirrel"

When I first visited my wife in her birth city of Poltava, Ukraine (former soviet union) I am sure that I was the only guy dipping within 10000 square miles. Dip, snuff and chewing tobacco are not available in Russia or Ukraine and never has been. My wife's family had a great fun in trying my dip while I tasted their cognac. It is a great memory as I sit here today after being a full 8 days clean as a whistle. Quit On My Brothers......................
8 days quit! That is outstanding bro! Keep at it.

So poisoning your soon to be in-laws a great memory? Ha. Might be for some.

For me, I don't have any good memories of dipping. I look back  I friggin hate it. I can't think of a time where there is a good memory. First dip... no. First time I saw someone get sick... no. The time I got a few cans on a BOGO... no. Times I lied to my family... no. The countless dollars wasted killing myself... no. The increased risk to getting cancer... no.

Dude, I just can't think of one instance where it brought me joy or happiness. It only brought negative things to me and I guarantee it did the same to you. I hate everything about it. I F-in can't stand it.

I am quit with you today bro! Stay quit today!
These posts always make me smile. Go back and read almost everyone's first post. Mine was something like... I sure am gonna miss my friend the Kodiak bear.

Ha ha ha

Fuck that bear. You'll see man... It did nothing but take from me. From us. Keep posting and being accountable. I wouldn't wish this addiction on anyone. Including my inlaws.
Heh, I think I went back  read your thread after I got talking with you WTW,  well glad to hear the mindset can change thanks.
