Thank you everybody for all the advice, it will surely help! I just bought some SM straight so hopefully that will work. 2 weeks in Korea here I come.
Hopefully that will work???

Hopefully tobacco/nicotine doesn't just fly into your mouth.

Just stay quit bro! It's up to you. No such thing as hope when it comes to quitting.

Welcome! Post roll every day man, and crush the fake stuff if you have to at first. Whatever you need to do, just make sure zero nicotine goes in. You got this man. Remember you don't need that shit, you've just been tricked into thinking you always have by an addiction. Soon you'll see this really clearly.

Hello,

My name is Tim and I have been a COPE (Silver lid) dipper for 33 years, for 28 of those years I was in the U.S. Navy. I retired after 28 years on JAN 1st, 2012. Anyway, I am on day 3 of my quit and I have been "stalking" this site for nearly a month while choosing my quit date. This is a great site and I appreciate everyone who contributes to it. I am from Florida but work in Dahlgren, Va. I travel to forien countries alot as part of my job and dipping has always gone with me, WELL NO MORE!! I am a little on edge as to what I am going to do when I have to travel on 06 November but I guess I will have to cross that bridge when I get to it. Please post any words of ecouragement for me as I will be needing them. Thanks for reading and again hello to you all and goodbye to dipping!
I did it so can you! I went on a week long biz trip less than a week into my quit... Took plenty of fake dip with me, walked about 3miles every morning (people would be surprised how short a 3mi walk is) before breakfast and it was all gravy!

I must have seen every Dipper in Phoenix! But, I had my fake dip and this site. It was pretty easy once it was all said and done! STAY QUIT MY FRIEND!

Glad to see you on KTC, and glad to see you quit. Well, I can tell you I travel a lot both domestic and international and I was worried about those initial trips as well. As you know, smokeless is not real common in the EU, so I just did not pack it. So, cutting out that option was easy. I did take along some herbal so when at dinner and all the smokers came out in my group I had something else.

I would suggest using some of those miles of yours and upgrading to business class on those long haul flights as it will give you more options, movies food drinks things to keep you occupied. Until November 6th, just keep putting up those plus one's I quit with you.

PM me if you need anything.

KK
Welcome, and glad to have you! GREAT job getting through the first 3 days. You are through some of the worst times.

I travel a ton for work, as well, and I've learned one thing. Quitting while traveling is no different than quitting while doing anything else that is normally a trigger for you. Have a plan, and stick to it. Post roll and keep your word. Bring along some of the fake stuff. Get tons of gum  candy, and most importantly, don't bring any dip with you.

If you're a man of your word, and you set yourself up for success, you can't cave. Simple as that.
Nic free on 9/2/14

Hi Tim, you made a great decision and you need to stick with it. And it is a decision to dip or not. There is a lot of great advice and folks on this site, so make use of them. If it helps, I dipped Skoal for 33 years and have been quit for 251 days as of today! It wasn't easy but I made the decision on 2/16/14 to be quit and I am. I will never for any reason dip again! PM me if I can help.

First, thanks for your service. Fake or Herbal? Yes and yes. And yes to anything else that doesn't involve nicotine.

What are you going to do on Nov 6? Same thing you're going to do today. Pst roll, give your word that you won't touch nicotine for that day, and fight to keep your word like your life depends upon it...because it does.

Turn the tables on the Nic Bitch. Ask yourself what SHE is going to do on Nov 6? Probably try to convince you to take one more....tell you that you are nothing without her...tell you that you NEED her? You know that shit she is going to pull. So beat her at her game, post roll, kick her in the nutz, and live free. That's what you're going to do. Get pumped about your new freedom, brother!!!

YOU GOT THIS!!!

Do what you have to do to stay quit. There are two schools of thought when it comes to the Fake or Herbal snuff. Yes  No. I use Smokey Mountain Wintergreen, this has helped with the hour long commute to and from work, along with the longer drives. Its kept me quit for 94 days now, and I keep a can with me at all times.

Welcome to quit!
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.

Hi Tim,

I agree, don't worry about November 6th until November 6th. You posted roll today the 23rd, so you only need to get through another 14 hours to be quit today. Do you have other quitters phone numbers yet? It is a good resource to have to help you post roll while away from home, not to mention chatting with quitters going through the same thing you are.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.
