  • Interests: I'm an ol' country boy from Texas: where I started dipping in the 8th grade over 37 years ago. The US Navy brought me to SO CAL in 1985. I got married to So CAL girl and remained here after I got out of the Navy. I love the outdoors; camping, hiking, hunting and fishing but mostly I love to do wood working. I guess now that I am not wasting money on crap I can have more to do the things I like to do.

Hey man, I like your style, but it's a public forum. Lots of weirdos out there. I'd share phone number in PM.

Thanks to all the support everyone, I'm on day 3 with no nicotine and feeling good about TODAY.  Best thing I've learned: embrace the "withdrawal rage" and funnel into weight lifting.  Been hitting personal records this week and its seems to be helping. If any of you need help/ want to chat XXX-XXX-XXXX.
That's what I did Tony, If you can take a breath you cant crave. I lost 20/LBS during my quit and got healthy. I am still working out almost everyday, and loving my new life. Congrats on day three one day at a time

Tony,
Only worry about today. Tomorrow should never be in your mind. Today is the day you quit and quit like a Beast. Tomorrow you can follow the instructions on the back of the shampoo bottle, rinse-later-rinse-repeat.

The first week is damn hard, there is no sugar coating that it sucks which is why it is referred to as "The Suck", then as time progresses you will start to forget about Nic, then at around 2 months Nic will try to take you back. All you have to do is nut up and take your life back.

Tony that weening stuff is harder than cold turkey! Stop using nic and deal with the hellish first week once. If you have any nicotine in any form you will have to start all over, and you do not want that! The previous posts are from bad assed quitters and the advice is good. All the info and support you need is right here on KTC. Posting roll is the key welcome center will tell you how and why. PM me if you have questions.

Here's to another one tomorrow.

This is how we do it here man... one day at a time. The best way to spend your time for awhile is immersing yourself in this site. Read everything, then go back and read some more. Get yourself up to the Welcome Center link at the top of the page and learn why and how we do things here. You've taken that first step into freedom bro... welcome!

Hello all.  Ive chewed Grizzly wintergreen for almost 9 years.  I havent bought a can in a few weeks, but i have been slowly trying to ween myself off with nicotine lozenges.  Today is my first nicotine free day in a long time and feeling proud, but aware that there is a LONG road ahead.  Here's to another one tomorrow.

T.S.
Hi Tony,

Welcome to KTC. Congrats on your decision to live and not die a slow painful death. I would ditch the lozenges. Here is how they worked for me. A $15/week addiction turns into $40/week addiction. They say to only put one lozenge in and the next thing you know you have 4 of them in your cheek. I recommend you drink the KTC koolaid and toss all of those nicotine products. Post roll will us. Lean on us and the vets here. You can do this buddy. I know you can. You have to want it more than you have ever wanted anything. You can do this.

Post roll with us here.

Welcome Tony! THe heavy hitters will be right along to explain how this all works far better than I can. But congrats on thinking about it already  now going all the way without the lozenges or anything. Yes it's a long road ahead, but we do it one day at a time, that's all. All you have to do is post roll for today  promise to remain quit for today. Tomorrow is a bright shiny new day that you'll get to make the same promise again, but don't have to worry about now. If you need numbers or anything just PM away.
