I had been a member in the past but struggled and after day 4 I craved that was a little less then a year ago Ive been dipping about a tin a day for a year and a half now and over the past few weeks I have dramatically decreased my nicotine intake however I still have been dipping usually once or twice a day and I finally am to the point where enough is enough however I need as much support as possible and so I'm back here looking to kick the habit for good

Today os 8/17/2012 and it is my second day of not packing a lip, while i admit i have a headache and am definitely feeling the cloudy feeling in my head i feel good now that i have the support of this community behind me and i really appreciate it!
nice job and you have made a very smart decision. Be tough as you will be on a wild ride over the next few months til your body and mind re-write itself to get rid of the nic lady from your life.

just remember that you can do it and that nicotene does NOT make anything better.
The first three days of your quit are the hardest. If you remain committed and keep your guard up, you can get your freedom back. I applaud you for taking that first step and coming to this site for help. We are all addicts and must fight this battle as a team. Keep up the good work. Stay strong, stay quit!! PM me if you need anything.

Day 2
« on: August 17, 2012, 08:18:00 PM »
I figured I would revisit this introduction since I am back here after 2 previously failed attempts to quit on this site. My name is Brion N I am 20 years old I started dipping when I was 17 and have been in a battle to kick the habit for the past 2 years. I am currently a Chemical Engineering Student entering my Junior Year at SUNY ESF in Syracuse, NY. I am in a Fraternity Alpha Chi Rho and some of my fellow brothers were dippers, I found it difficult to quit while living with them, luckily they have graduated and no one in my house currently uses any tobacco products. I have a beautiful girlfriend from which I have hid my habit and have decided that its time to take my life back and to not revolve everything I do around a can of poison. I don't want to be that guy with half a jaw or who dies from oral cancer, I have already had my own scares and its time I respect my body.
Mind over matter
Times offered nicotine - 2
Times Nicotine turned down - 2
