Nope its all good guys. I realized while wearing the patch and still craving a chew the damn patch wasn't doing anything. So I ripped the patch off and then posted roll. I did not post roll until the patch come off. In my original quit plan which I come up with before I found this site included NRT. When I announced my quit on Facebook a friend sent me here he didn't tell me exactly what it was all about. You guys inspired me to give up the drug completely and do what really works. Take the damn patch off and POST ROLL.
That is how we quit. Cold Turkey. It works as long as you make your promise daily and be a man of your word. Post that promise early tho.
That a boy grab you sac and get it done! I Quit with you today !
Now we are talking! Thanks for clarifying Nb

Ok... ok... so my friend introduced me to this site with good intentions I'm sure of it. However he failed to tell me embrace the suck and no NRT. So I'm rounding up to day three now and still no tobacco. I've kept a can of herbal snuff to help me through work. Mainly to stave off the hunger and the 12 hours of running a CNC machine. I obviously haven't posted roll yet because I'm not eligible. But I must say I believe more in what is going on here than my nicotine patch. Lmao luckily the VA only charges about 40 dollars for a three month supply of Nicoderm CQ instead of 60 bucks a box. Anyway long story short I'm tempted to put the patch in the trash and do this the hard way because I truly know that there is no easy way period end of story. Oh I'm sure I'm addicted to nicotine not a doubt in my mind of that but I feel more attached mental need for the tobacco itsself and it's little "pleasures " and I know I'm not alone in saying that that's the hardest part. Longest drives to and from work in my life the last couple of days. Thanks for a cool place to talk about the quit guys and to make it a little easier than going alone.
Dude - your roll post this am said you had a crave while wearing a patch. That doesn't work here. Rip the patch off and quit nicotine in all forms. If your roll post was a mistake and the patch is indeed off, go back and explain to your May brothers.

And stop romanticizing the "little pleasures" that was imply the drug relieving the withdrawal symtoms and screwing with your brain chemistry and dopamine receptors. The mental part is the addiction! you will have the nicotine out of your system in 72 hours -if you lose the damn patch. man up and quit with us.
You're walking a fine line here dude... if you were posting while using, yeah, cardinal sin in this house bro. 'Splain yourself...
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Post roll. You have to go through the suck and quit for yourself, but there is no reason to do it alone and good reasons to have a support network.

You have found the place to start the last quit of your life. Posting roll first thing every day giving your promise not to use and then being a man of your word for 24 hours. Wake up and start over, we quit here one day at a time, don't worry about forever. Your home month is May 16, get in there and post roll giving your promise not to use. There are a bunch of solid quitters going through the same withdraws you will be going through in the next 72 hours and they will be there to help get you through it.
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you'll find an excuse. 02/05/15 9am

Do or don't, it's that simple--KingNothing
Complacency is the ultimate enemy of quit, keep involved, dont just post roll take a second each time to reflect and remind yourself just what this is all about. quit hard every damm day--D2maine

Weakness is a choice 100% of the time--razd611

Day 0
« on: January 31, 2016, 09:10:00 PM »
Well about the time I wake up it will be 24 hours into this endeavor. Right now if my tongue was a good dip I'd chew it off I think. Worst craving of the day so I figured I would hop on here and say hello. I know that these next seven days are the hardest but I also know that they pass. Glad there is a forum for guys that knows how hard quitting smokeless tobacco is. After 15 years of going back and forth between chew and cigarettes and 3 solid years of chewing my lip is as raw as I can Stand and I refuse to pick back up the cancer sticks. Just ready to be done and put a little extra money in my pocket. Thanks for the group and congrats to all you quit ers out there.
Nate
