Golf. That one got me. I did avoid for awhile and the first time I went without it, I almost passed out on the 6th hole. BUT I made it.
I was unprepared however. I had no seeds, no fake, mo I um, etc...
I think for me golf was one of those things that it just seemed "cool" to be chomping on something. Not sure why, because I'm an addict is an obvious reason but for some stupid reason i THOUGHT I needed dip to enjoy my round.
I avoided golf like the plague for a few months after that. I convinced myself that I only golfed as an excuse to chew.Â
One day my golf buddy called and asked if I wanted to go and for the umpteenth time I meekly said no in my woe as me tone.
My wife heard that and read me the riot act. Called me a pussy and every other imasculating term you could think of. My wife does not speak like this .
She demanded I call him back and go. So I did.
I loaded up with fake and some seeds made it through the round ok. We went the next week and it was even easier and the next week easier yet, and so on.
Eventually I realized I LOVED golf and chewing while doing is was not necessa but instead lie #3,432 the nic bitch told me.
Today I can easily golf a round with nothing, although I do still throw in mouh full of seeds once in in awhile.Â
Point is be prepared. You don't have to give up golf and you don't have to attack it the way I did either. I was just giving you my personal experience.
If you don't think you can do it for awhile , pretty sure golf courses aren't going anywhere and WILL still be there when you ready.Â
If you think "man, this Diesel guy is a real pussy" and decide to go today, just be ready as it could be tough, but you won't die. Just be prepared.

Nicotine controls our brains Dopamine receptors! It makes us associate things we do with nicotine! If we have a good game of Golf while chewing then we believe that the chew made us a better golfer. When we quit we have to retrain our brains to associate things with out nicotine. Most of us have done EVERYTHING with a dip in so we have a lot of things to relearn! The good news is each time we fight through a trigger (things we associate with chew) the less powerful that trigger becomes! Like with diesel, each time he golfed his brain learned that he CAN golf with out chew. And so it became easier! You have to retrain your brain if you are triggered by golf. Do it today or do it in 3 months.... It does not matter! It will be something you will be glad to see is unnecessary! But like Diesel said, be prepared! It is not easy! But it is simple! DO NOT CHEW WHILE YOU GOLF!
P.S. I caution you to not really think Diesel is a pussy! I think he is secretively violent! :D
