Heck of a job so far 77. I'm 19 hours quit now and look forward to being able to count that time in weeks instead of hours. I quit with you today and every day my friend.

Had a good evening at home. Well except for stopping at the grocery store on the way home. It seemed that i couldn't stay focused or able to make a decision on what to get for dinner last night. Aimlessly walking up and down the isles. Finally my boy says are we going to get something for dinner or what. I said screw it and grabbed a frozen pizza and a case of water and left.

Today seems alittle better than yesterday. Still some intense cravings but ive been keeping myself busy. Once i get home im going to run 5 miles at a relatively slow pace to release some if the tension that seems to be building.

Overall its a good day being that i am still quit.

Its been a long day at work but staying the course. Now its off to grab the kids and concentrate on getting through this evening.
Great start!
Replace the time using, with time here leaning.
Your patience with kids at first will be short...plan for that!
Soon you will learn how to handle everything with more patience than ever!
I quit with you 77.

Way to go man!!! Fuck that quit date. They never work. If you planned it we would never see you ever again because it don't work. You made the right choice brother. Stay strong, post roll, drink LOTS of water and get your oral fixation completed with some gum, seeds fake stuff, candy or what ever, just don't dip. Take your life back ODAAT (one day at a time). Lets worry about today. Fuck yesterday and fuck tomorrow. Lets worry about making it through today. When we wake up tomorrow we will worry about tomorrow then.

I quit with you every dam day brother!!!!

77,

I'm glad you decided against that quit date nonsense. We've had an influx of people lately who set a date, then disappear, never to be heard from again. But enough about them. Let's talk about you!

You're right! Most of us have a similar story. You're tired of ground leaves in a can dictating how you spend your time, your money, and your life. That's a fine reason to quit in my book.

You have some rough days ahead. I won't lie - it's hard, man, just like anything else in life that's worth doing. But I've yet to meet the person who has regretted quitting. Hang in there, constantly drink water, read everything you can, and get some exercise. Even just simply walking will help. It'll be a fight, but if you're determined to win, you will.
The funny thing is that i live a somewhat healthy lifestyle. I run every other day and eat right majority of the time. My wife just ran her first 5K over the weekend that i helped her train for. Back in may i ran a 1/2 marathon. More exercise cant hurt i suppose.

My wife and son will be excited to hear that i quit today instead of putting it off until friday. I know with determination and the support from here i can do it.
Yeah I was in good shape and exercised my ass off, oops still had a heart attack, that was prior to my quit. Put that one in your pipe and smoke it, and was determined caused from tobacco. Quit on! Best damn decision you ever made for you and your family!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

The first 5 days are pure hell and especially the first weekend. If you are like me then you will think of dip 24/7. Just know that this hell drops off very sharply after 3 to 5 days . Find something that is good at occupying your attention. Personally I pulled out some old video games and started to watch a new TV series. This helped me a lot because it grabbed my attention for periods of time.

Realize the control nicotine has and dont think about how great it would be to have just "one more". Tell nicotine to fuck off everytime you think about it. Remeber your brain is rewiring and it's used to constant nicotine stimulating your " happy receptors " when I felt depressed first week I just thought about how nicotine had control of my brain and I'm helping it rewire so I won't require it to feel good.

Glad to have you join us bro. It'll be tough but like others have said, it's simple. Post roll, honor your word and repeat the next day. It really does get easier and then one day you realize your just free. Embrace the next several days and remember them. You only have to go through it once if you stay committed. I'll quit with you today.

Good Stuff Midget! What's really weird is that we KNOW each other. Everyone posting support for you KNOWS exactly what you are going through. Only our day counts differ. Some like cBird65 are even into midgets. *Especially ones that eat corn dogs and ride big wheels. You should look him up and post with him too. Get your name onto roll every day. Read, reread, rereread. This is Real Life - don't ever forget that.

Being around users is challenging, but each time you say no, you become stronger. More powerful.

You can do this. Don't think about quitting forever, focus on right now. You can say no for 24hrs right? You can deal with anything for just one day? That's all this is. One day.

I quit with you today.
Man up and be a quitter ODAAT. Post Roll EDD. It works.

EDD: Every Damn Day
