Everybody summed it up. I don't have much to add. I am only a few days ahead of you and I have gone through the same feelings, went to see the same professionals. Once I started to realize the majority of the "symptoms" are in my head I have begun to feel better. The suck, well sucks. We are in this together so feel free to reach out any time.

From your screen name I would have reason to believe you're from Missouri, which is great, so am I! Sounds like you're having a rough time during these initial few weeks. First, let me assure, it does get better, much better. But first, it must suck. It must suck so bad that when you emerge from this period you are absolutely, positively never going to go back through it. Embrace those feelings of misery because it does get better, but there are going to be tough times ahead and you need to remember the sucking, the withdraw, the fucking absolute pain you feel for the lack of a damn weed that is doing nothing more than slowly killing you. you've fingerbanged the can so long that you started to think it felt good. Well, wait until you've been quit 699 days and someone from across the room opens a can of that shit. It smells like ass, they look like an ass. It'll make you wonder what the hell was so good about the shit that's currently making you feel like crap. Freedom awaits, right here. Right now. Every morning you wake up and post roll, you are free. Give the nic bitch the big 'Finger' . Join up with your Oct group. Post roll, honor you word, and repeat. Fucking simple, even for us Missouri guys! Feel free to PM me if you need help with roll, general support, etc. -Midwest.
It's amazing to experience the feeling you get after you work through the suck. Its like a shade is lifted from your face and things become brighter and more flavorful. I don't think you can appreciate the freedom unless you earned it by experiencing the withdrawal first. It is going to suck until one day it doesn't. The good news is that day really does come so much faster then you think right now. You've made it this far so clearly you can make it one more day. Quit one day at a time and you will be through it sooner then you think. I'll quit with you today.

Sometimes anxiety gets worse because you have a choice to make. Maybe you haven't committed to your quit fully in your mind, and so still have a choice to go back to dip.

Once you post roll and you have no choice about turning back to dip, hopefully your anxiety gets better the same day.

Hello everyone. I quit chewing cold turkey 14 days ago. First week wasn't bad but then the mind games and other problems kicked in. My throat hurts, tongue hurts, neck muscles hurt. Anxiety kicked in a week ago and all Do is stress all day about everything. I have been to the dentist my primary care doctor twice and a urgent care center cause I am freaking out about my side affects. Please tell me this gets better.
Hey Aaron! First of all, let me tell you what you want to hear, because it's the TRUTH: YES, this DOES get better. You wouldn't be the first person on this site to go to the doctor or even the ER over withdrawal symptoms. Your body is working hard to repair itself after years of being battered by poison. It WILL get better.

For now though, you should do two things. First of all, listen to Corbin, as he is exactly right. Exercise and water does a world of good for craves, stress, and anxiety. Secondly, you should head on over to October and join up with them. That's your group! You'll find a support network there that will help you through the rough times ahead, and pat you on the back during the even better times to come!

October 2015 Quit Group!
^^^ both these guys nailed it. it only gets better, your body and mind are healing and adjusting to life without nicotine, it will be a battle but you will win.
It took me over 200days to turn the corner on anxiety and stress. A fellow quitter, Bazookajoe, told me that, the stress and anxiety I was feeling, was the guilt and punishment I was trying to inflict and that I needed to forgive myself... stay quit and each day, it will get better
See the problem here is you're trying to go at this all alone. Post roll start getting help from other addicts like yourself. We've all went thru some of the same or most of the symptoms your having. Talking to someone whose an addict will help with your anxiety which in turn will relieve some of your symptoms from stressing. Dude these badass quitters can help you better than any doctor. So come on let's get you some quit going!
^^^^ post roll and be accountable.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Aaron,

Welcome to KTC and congrats on 14 days on your own, that is just badass. Anxiety, anger, frustration is all part of it but at 14 days the nic is out of your system now its the mental game and its time to put on your big boy pants and fight for your freedom from the nic bitch. Drink plenty of water and workout until you can't anymore. Most important, find your quit group and get involved on this site, we are all addicts and going thru the same thing. Proud to quit with you Aaron.
