I'm the idiot who started chewing sophomore year of High School. Copenhagen was the CURSE. By the time I graduated college I was a can a day. Got married Ninja style finally quit when my first daughter was born. 15 years later / work hell / baseball coaching hell / around the shit with assistant coaches and I caved.

5,475 days free and I CAVED. Woke up 2.5 years later and thought great I get to start this all over again.

Trust me the only way to do this is COLD TURKEY you try with NIC Gum / Patches you will fail.

This starts and ends with you. Tomorrow will be day 40. Embarrassed I went back to this SHIT habit.

I enjoy the fact that I don't have to explain to my three kids that their dad has mouth cancer because he is an idiot.

This group works and I will stay quit. I will battle this everyday of my life.

Please don't cave like I did STUPID....
whoa... that is scary as hell.

what are you going to do different? were you posting roll call everyday?

you are an idiot and also are an addict, who was looking for a opportunity to cave.

this is your quit and your life, make the decision, make the promise, stay quit and keep your word
I don't think he caved now i think he was talking about before he came to this site?

Welcome Lance. Now go directly to the November quit group and post your promise not to use today, don't use today, and then do it again tomorrow.

November Group

You don't have to do it alone any more, reach out to your brothers and help each other through this. It will get better if you do these things.

Quit with you today.

Just short of 2 days since my last dip. I feel like I'm in a fog..
hell ya man, remember this is all temporary day by day it will get better some days it will feel worse then others but one day at a time and you will overcome this addiction. like Armydan said seeds fake stuff anything to keep your mind from cravings, your body is fighting an internal battle against its loss of elevated levels of epinephrine (adrenaline which is why when you chew you get an elevated heart rate etc) also dopamine (which is a neurotransmitter for the brains pleasure center). remember your body is filtering out all this and bringing itself off of its drug the bodies central nervous system perks up with the use of nicotine but it becomes physically stressed over time which is why we get cravings.

this is why quitting cold turkey is the only way and it sucks but remember the suck is temporary once you make it through this days you will never have to go through this again unless you cave. But you are here to win over this addiction. Post roll every day and use this place as your crutch and all of us to support you get fully involved.

Hey Lance,

Welcome to KTC!! Keep up the hard work!! You should go to the November quit group and post roll with them; they will help you on your journey. Just drink water, use seeds, whatever fake stuff you can find; you can do this.

PM me if you have any questions.

I quit with you today brother.
