  • Interests: Yes, ma'am. I've killed Doyle Hargraves with a lawnmower blade. Yes, ma'am, I'm right sure of it. I hit him two good whacks in the head with it. That second one just plum near cut his head in two... It's a lil' ol' white house on the corner of Vine Street and some other street.

Hello to all. I,m glad I found this site. I am going to guit next Friday. I have been dipping for about 34 years. I've spent a lot of money an grossed out my wife. I'm tired of this can beating my ass. I've tried to quit several times only to start over again. I want this time to be the last time. Your help and support will be very welcome. Thank you, Mike
Mike, I was "planning a quit" myself. I had it on good grounds, but wasn't ridding myself if the drug. I got some ever-kind advice on here to flush what I had and start from there. For the first time, I wasn't scared. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but every time before was the uh-oh thoughts. "How can I drive to work without a bite of chew?" "How can I drive home?" "All the guys at work do it, it's gunna be hard." And as somebody else mentioned a day or two ago, "how can I take a shit, that was my best dip." Don't think of these and roll man. I'm only 3 days into this, but for some reason God changed the world so days are now 5,000 hours long, so I've been quit for quite a while now. I'm in your group man, let's whip this and recruit our friends.

If you quit right now and post roll, you'll be posting a day 6 on Friday and the nicotine will be out of your system. There's nothing magic about Friday. Just dump the can and quit. If I can do it, you can do it.

Hey Mike,

I know where you're at. I'll quit next week, after the trip with the guys is over, but until you make the choice that it's over, then there will always be a trip or next week. I am a 35 yr addict, but I'm 16 days on the other side and will tell you you can do it too. It is scary thinking about a future without it, until you finally realize that it is killing you. There are a lot of good guys on this site that will support and hold you accountable. We are all just a group making the same promise to each other every day. When you are ready to change, find your group and post roll. Just leave that next Friday talk at the door.
