I made it to day 11.
I ran into a friend yesterday and told her I quit chewing and she told me I looked happier and full of life. She made my day, it was so nice to hear something like that as an extra boost to stay nicotine free and boost confidence. I am thankful for friends, both on here and the ones around me as well as this site. It has been a huge help in my quit.
Don't get me wrong, I still have cravings for a dip, but I promise not to give in to these urges. Besides my daughter said she would kick my ass if I did. :)

Well I made it to day 4
Still catch myself craving a dip sometimes, especially after I eat kinda like an after dinner mint haha.
But its getting easier. Chewing lots of Trident gum though.
Next goal is Day 5 nicotine free.
I can and will do this!
Congrats on 5 days today. Chew as much gum as you need. You can do this. Don't be disturbed if you hit some bumps. You will gave good and bad days. That is life. Treat them the same. Use your tools, keep your word. Quit ODAAT. Keep it up today.
Thanks Derk40 for the support, happy I have 5 days down nic free. Was craving it bad today but stayed busy and made it through, so overall its a good day.
Happy Easter to everyone.

So I've made it 3 days now, today I don't seem to be in such a haze that I have been in for the first 2 days. I'm guessing this means the nicotine is leaving my system. Proud and excited to make it to 3 days, but tomorrow is a new goal, 4 days, this I can and will do.
Thank You all for being there for support.
way to stay quit.... Day 5 for me, keeps getting better each day.
Congrats on the 5 Days

Great to have you here JReis! This is the toughest part - getting started on your quit and getting going on the beginning of your new life. It will be a new life, trust me. YOu want have to worry about spitting and hiding your dip from people. You will talk more. You wont have that nic bitch holdng you back from doing things.
Did you get in a quit group and post roll yet?
Be strong and be glad you are now on the right track!

Thanks Rawls and ChristopherJ, nice to know i'm not alone in the struggle to quit this addiction.
I have been drinking lots of water and exercising a lot to keep my mind and body busy. I really hope everyday gets easier.
