I am no where near in danger of caving. I just get pissed off with people who think that it has to be done a certain way. Incidently, I can quit whether I am on this site or not...this site doesn't make it or break it for me.

I WANT to quit and HAVE quit for reasons that make me never want to go back to that crap. Yes its hard...even with NRT's...I feel for me though I have a better chance of not going back if I use the NRT. The nicotine is the least of my worry...It is all of the other chemicals in COPENHAGEN that scare me to death and if I need to use NRT's while I break the habit of CHEWING that crap, then that is what I am going to do.

We all have a story...we all have used different ways to quit. I will never criticize someone else's way of quitting...as long as they are not using that insidious chew.

So for you people who don't like the fact that some of us use NRT's....Step off and deal with it! I could care less what you think! If you want to be helpful and supportive, then do so...if not, I don't need ya!

Also, it wasn't the thread that pissed me off...It was Greg40 who seems to like to be a smartass and thinks he knows somebody and thinks that he can talk shit and I will somehow respect that. Whatever dude...You are a moron for thinking that and your comment that you left me shows that.
I call Bullshit on your last paragraph (we'll leave the rest out of it for now). Go back and reread the beginning of this thread. YOU were the one who got defensive for zero reason after two people had tried to offer sincere support. YOU were the one who threatened to leave when the only thing posted was sincere support. YOU are the one who defined sincere support as bullying and badgering. YOU are full of shit. YOU are full of nicotine. YOU are full of excuses. Greg hadn't even shown his sexy avatar or mysteriously alluring words at that point.

you're not in danger of caving because you are not quit, you have quit chewing (for now) but you are still using the one chemical that you are addicted to. i am not busting your balls but i have failed on nrt and fooled myself that somehow nrt was better, it wasn't until i took the pain and fear (aka the suck) and did it that quitting seemed real, you can do it and after the suck all you have to worry about is the mind games, if i can handle the suck anyone can

welcome to the suck...you can do this

The issue isnt that I have a problem with advice. I have a problem with bullshit. The bullshit being that I cant use NRT's. and really quit. I really don't care what people think about it. If you don't like it then hey so what. It is working so far for me.

I am still having major cravings even with the lozenge. so dont tell me that I am just transferring from one thing to another! Get real! Copenhagen has so many more dangerous chemicals in it than a NRT...yes and I have heard that they are finding NRT's can possibly cause cancer too.

Look forget it...I'll do it without this bullshit! This just stresses me out more and makes me want to cave! I don't need that!
Scrofford - You do realize that when people choose to run away from this site, they usually do so because their addiction is telling them that it's a lot easier to cave when no one else cares. Of course, they don't know that at the time because their head is too far up their ass.

The thread that Ready posted for you was so full of trash talking because the person who started the thread was full of negativity. Sure, many people don't agree with NRT, but attitude is an even bigger trigger for "bullshit" on this site.

And all this bullshit that makes you want to cave, perhaps it's meant to serve as a reality check. Perhaps you now realize that you should go talk to your doctor and find a way to cut nicotine out of your system completely in a way that is safe for your heart. Perhaps the stress that you're feeling is the stress and disappointment of knowing that you are simply making excuses for your fear of failure. Quitting cold turkey is hard work and seems impossible when you have nicotine coursing through your veins. Call your doctor. Tell him you want nothing more to do with nicotine. There are ways. And it is more than possible. You'll be surprised at your own strength.

You can do this!

Ok nice thread...I will not get into it with people on here about NRT's. If you don't like the fact that I am using the lozenge, then I will leave and too bad for you. This is how I am quitting COPENHAGEN. If that is a problem oh well. I am free and over 21 and will not be bullied or badgered by anyone.
Good luck, Sally!! :D Come back when you find your testicles!!!

Kiss my ass dude...I am quitting COPENHAGEN...and all the messed up chemicals in it! Nicotine is bad, but I would rather step down and really be able to quit then not. From the looks of you it seems like your testicles are in your ass.
What's your problem dude? You know you have less than 10% chance of quitting when using this method? If you don't want the advice of the successful quitters here, then why are you here?

Look, it takes big fucking balls to QUIT. Really QUIT. If you can't handle some suggestions, how are you going to handle the craves??? These guys know how to quit. You are NOT special. We've all been through the same shit you are going through. We are here to help...if you don't want the help of many SUCCESSFUL quitters, than kindly piss off and let really quitters quit. We will be here to help when you are ready to be helped....

Greg 40, here is a question, I understand the rant, so how do you feel about Chantix? It does not contain nic, any thoughts?
No problem with Chantix. It doesn't have nic. The concensus regarding NRT's seems to be...if they are used to the letter of the directions...then they are fine. Personally, I don't agree. IMO, all you are doing is delaying the inevitable. Look, we started this god-forsaken habit, not we must pay the price to be free of it. In 3 days the physical withdrawals are over...might as well sack up and get it over with.

Just asking, I am taking Chantix and the symptoms may not have been as bad but for me they were still there and they still sucked. I wanted to beat the tar out of everyone I met. I am on day 12 and still have urges everyday. And they fog, it sucks.
A promise not kept is the road to exile.

If quitting is cool, consider me Myles Davis.

Unless you bring value onto my 1/2 acre, I don't want to hear it.

Hi there, my name is Steve and I am actually now on day 2 of getting the Copenhagen out of my life! I have been a dipper for 27 years and I just know it is time to stop! Not only is it so very expensive, but I was really starting to get concerned about throat and mouth cancer.

I will be honest from the start. I am using the lozenges. The reason being is I have had some other health issues with my heart and if I just go cold turkey my heart goes into what they call atrial fib. I think it might be the stress. Either way, I am not making this as just a substitute to quit. I am following the directions and plan on stepping down like you are supposed to.

Now with that aside, I am here for the long haul and plan on being nicotine free in 100 days!
I'm no doctor, but as nicotine is a stimulant, wouldn't it be better to just go cold? I'm not sure how lowering your heart rate and B.P would be a bad thing. Have you talked to your doctor about this? Perhaps he can give you some meds to help keep the stress of quitting at bay.
"CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit. After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco."
