Scott,

Welcome to crazy nic rage ville! Or you might know it as hell.

I am quit 126 days. My first week was horrible. Felt like crap, felt like I broke off a relationship that was in my life for a couple decades but I also had this excitement and energy for the change.

Then the honeymoon was over. The excitement to quit wore off and the true hell didn't let up. I like that you were told that quitting is a process. So I am undefeated because of a few simple tasks.

1) Identify why you want to quit. How important is it for you to quit and why? This is the core of quitting. You own it, you drive it, you chose it. Never second guess quitting. If you quit, the choice is made. Close the chapter and start writing your book of life sober and nicotine free.

2) How important is your word. Do you honor your name and your family by keeping your word? Can you be counted on to keep your promise to someone? Would you suffer and go through pain to simply keep your promises?

3) Are you smart enough to be humble and be led in your quit? If you listen and follow the vets, you will be led out of bondage. Follow the vets instructions with exactness.

4) Post roll and never, ever worry about being quit tomorrow, in a year, in five years or for life. You quit and battle today. If tomorrow comes you worry then, but today you Post roll, battle and keep your word and claim a win.

Finally, YOU ARE ADDICTED TO NICOTINE! This addiction is an illness with no cure. However, there is treatment. Keep in mind that when your addiction gets you thinking, you wont be rational or logical at times. That is when you get in here and chat or text and call. Even if it is just to talk get help. The jack ass that thinks he needs to fight his own battles, robs all of us of a shared victory. Now that you left nicotine and tobacco, you joined a rebellion. We don't accept that we must bow to tobacco and serve her anymore. Never glamorize or entertain good thoughts about nicotine. It is a lie and you know it. Stay strong and win. Your freedom is waiting but it is fight to get it.

Hi Scott,
It's good to see someone who wants to "get their life back".
you've been quit before right? WRONG!!!!! You were doing a STOPPAGE!
can you hear me now? You came to the right place to quit your nicotine addiction. Remember, change is not an event, it is a process...so get your addicted sorry ass in here and Proceed to read, read, read everything....
#1 you gotta quit for SCOTT. not for your wife, kids, girlfriend, no, no, no...You must quit for yourself or you will CAVE. Look in the mirror and do it for YOU.
#2 This system of quit works! It is very fucking simple, it is so simple that it is stupid!
All you have to do is: post roll (earlier the better for you), then keep your word that you're quit for today. make it to bed, wake up and REPEAT.
before you know it your days of quit will stack up nicely.
#3 All the strange addicts in here are here to help you. Isn't that just weird? perfect strangers wanting to help save your life?
#4 this is a nic free site. no cigs, cigars, patches or pussy gum. YOU do whatever you gotta do to not put the POISON in your mouth. seeds, candy, gum, lots of water, peanuts.
This is very hard work. No miracles here. Just hard work and triumphant days of quit! It is worth it.
Good to be quit with you Scott!!!! Guard your quit with your life.
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?

My name is Scott and I took my last dip at 3PM on Sunday. Almost finished with the first 48 hours, which has been quite the trip. I dipped for well over 15 years, going through a can every day and a half for the last year or so. I finally decided, "Eff it. I'm done." As I have said this many times before, part of me said, "Yeah, yeah.....sure pal." But I'm here, and I'm determined to kick the crap out of it this time. So, that's a little bit about me and why I'm here.
Welcome aboard brother!!

I will give you some advise quit for you and know the difference between quiting and stopping!

I say quit for you so you dont have any resentment to anyone else including your family, the nic-bitch will play some serious head games with you and you will not want anyone to blame but yourself when the tough times start to happen!

Knowing the difference between quitting and stopping is one of the many tons of knowledge this site can tell you about and help you to realize, there are so many great quitters here and hundreds if not thousands of guys willing to help you in anyway possible....but you have to honor your word and know the difference between quiting B) and stopping  !

Scott,

Great decision. I hope that you are committed to quitting for the long term...as in never, ever again will you touch the stuff.

First we are a no nicotine site. No gum/patches/etc. Read the Welcome Center front to back. This explains how and why the site works.

Posting roll is our honor code. It is the backbone of this site. Click here to watch a short video on how to post roll 100% correctly.

Lastly, as you read in the Welcome Center, you will hit 100 days and enter the Hall of Fame in October, so that is your quit group, which is located here.

Check your Inbox (1) for some additional tips of wisdom I have gathered over the passed 99 days.

Glad to meet you here Scott as you will be joining our October Quit group to which I am now clean for 16 days (thank god).

I will let a few of the vets direct you for the links but if you read up in the welcome center and then can post on the roll call each day for your promise to remain quit of all nicotene each day.

I quit with you, that is my promise.
