Day 4 and feeling good.

Had trouble sleeping the first 2 nights, last night i think i slept the whole night.

Sand Fleas Gotta Eat helped me kill my worse craving yet, while humping 2 tons of pellets above the garage. Just texting him that i wasn't going to let nicotine back in my life helped kill the craving. thanks Sand Fleas

Plan for the weekend, stay away from my smoking friends. Cigarettes/Cigars are always the first step towards dip.

My weekend pledge

I will post roll
I will not smoke
I will not dip
I will not surround myself with those that dip or smoke.
You got this bro. Stay in touch, you have my digits. I may need you to help me too because I'm not above all this $hit.

Just so you know, we are never above the whispers of the nic bitch, but we are given the tools to selectively ignore her whispers.

Good job, and welcome smd. Glad to have you. One day at a time and you to can have your life back. Smoking, dipping, toking, shooting, whatever the method. The poison leaving your body and never returning,, that's what it's all about. It's going to get tough, stay close. You and your wife should be able to help each other. One of you can also help end it for both, so take this quit seriously and hold each other accountable.

Read everything you can about your addiction. Learn what your going to go through and why. It makes the battle much easier when you know what's coming and why. I believe knowing your enemy, especially this one is half the battle.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

I would love to see you and your wife over at Whack The Pack... It's very... Um... subdued compared to the liveliness here but the vets there are amazing and I'm so damn proud to be quit with them. I'm on Day 6 and it would be great to have a new QUITTER (or TWO!) posting roll with me there!

So your wife approves of smoking more than dipping? Don't remember hearing that one before.

None of that matters at this point, though.

Good to see you here.

I have a 6 month old boy. I want to be around.

I dip at work/garage/car/home. When my wife's around i am a smoker, else i dip.

As of today, i do not dip.  As of today i do not smoke.

My whole body is tingly, and i cant concentrate on anything at work.  Day one is hell.

Embrace the Suck for yourself, your wife and your son.

Being a former Ninja dipper myself the wife finding out was my worst problem. She is still raggging on me, about the lies. Your behavior over the next few days will be telling.

get gum, fake dip, (or not) Mine blew a gasket about the fake dip, seeds, what ever it takes to get you through the SUCK..

For the physical suck last 6-8 days. now at 22 days it is all in the head.

Follow up with your health see a dentist regularly, I've only been chewing for 10 years but see my dentist every 4-6 months.
Now I hope my hygenist sees the gums beginning to heal (and her not working so hard to clean me up),

Hell yeah day 1 is hell!! Remember it too...remember that like everyone else on this site, you Sir are an addict. If you want to permanently quit promise no chew or smoke today  only today...then tomorrow wake up  promise again. I will suggest getting jerky, gum, seeds, and juice... Then get some exercise. I quit with you today

You have come to the right place man. Read everything here. Especially the HOF speeches and Intro's from people that have been there day 1. I'm only on Day 9 myself. But believe me. It gets better. You will be free. You made the right choice. It takes balls to confront the evil that is nicotine and kick it to the curb. Start posting roll here. Get some seeds, candy, regular gum. When cravings hit visit this site. Don't think about quitting for forever. Quit for today. Then tomorrow quit again for another day. You got this man. PM me if you need anything.

The support here is amazing.
