Here it goes...my introduction. My name is John, and I have been a Skoal Long Cut and Red Man user for about 14 years now. I decided to finally give quitting a SERIOUS go when I woke up yesterday morning, with an annoyingly sore throat and my bottom lip hurting a bit. "It's time", I thought to myself. But where I've failed in the past, I will succeed this time, because I have sought support, rather than trying to go it alone.
I am 36 years old, married, with a 2 year old daughter, and I want to be around for them as long as possible. I am a paramedic for one of the biggest EMS systems in the country, in one of the busiest areas of the country, and I am extremely proud of that. I love what I do, and I also would like to do THAT as long as possible. In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, playing music, mainly drums, playing poker, running, playing and watching basically any sports, and most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my family. So here I sit at my computer, typing my intro, on Day 2 of my quit.

You have been shown the cornerstone of KTC quit. It is simple, not easy at first but simple. Read everything you can on KTC. There is so much knowledge to be found... PM me if you need anything.

Stick with the plan and you will be free. Skip one, and a caver you will be.

1). Post Roll Daily
2). Honor your word
3). Be active within the KTC community

All three of these have helped me quit and stay quit for the past 107 days.
Damn near 1800 for me, and this^^^ is still the key. It ain't easy but it works.

Welcome to our community, brotherhood. Stick around. We know how to do this.

Holler if you need anything.

So, my name is Johnny, and this is Day 1 of my quit. I woke up this morning and my throat was sore for the last time. I started dipping about 10 years ago, while I was still smoking cigarettes. I was one of the dumbasses that figured,"Hey, it's better than smoking." I know, I know... I already said I was a dumbass. I've got a wife and a 2 year old daughter, whom I love very much and want to be around for for a long time. I plan on dying of extreme old age, or while doing something cool, but not while lying in a hospice bed dying of mouth cancer without my bottom jaw...so here I am. Day 1...
Glad to hear you're ready to step up to the plate. First and foremost though, it needs to be about you. I'm glad you have a wife and kids to be around for, and that's great, but you have to help yourself first. It has to be about you or you won't ever quit 100%.

If you're really quit, go post roll in Sept 2014. We're the Sultans and we're a damn proud crew. We're happy to welcome anybody willing to put themselves and their families ahead of a carcinogenic weed. If you're really quit, go make your promise.

Then read everything you can in the Welcome Center. There is an abundance of wisdom that you won't find anywhere else, soak it up and take it to heart. Every day your name is on that roll, it'll be alongside mine and a bunch of bad ass quitters ready to help you save your life.

QLF (quit like fuck) with you today.
