Guys, i love this site. Ive been on here everyday since i have quit and its helped me alot. But i wanted to give a little bit of an update and if you dont mind, use this thread as my own little journal to get on here and rant, bitch, whatever.
Day 1-- was going great till around 2pm or so. I ate lunch, and boom, reached for my grizzly. Took a few deep breaths and done something to distract myself. I always dipped right after i ate. Hell, even after a snack i dipped. I guess you could say eating is a trigger lmao.
Day 2-- little better, Fog very very heavy. Dizzy, almost feel like ive had a few brewskis. Same deal with lunch and supper, but luckily my cardinals played a late game that night so i was distracted and spent my night spitting sunflower seeds into a pop can. lol
Day 3-- Woke up and got to work on cleaning out a friends garage. and out of no where a massive crave, i ran to gas station and got a can of jerky. Asked the cashier if she had any of the fake stuff and she said no, and i told her i quit and was about to go nuts. That afternoon, my broncos laid the smackdown on the hated Raiders so that made my night so i celebrated with a beer. Heres where it got tricky. (not bc of the beer) Ever since i quit ive had problems "Going" and i was at the point where i was ready to cave and say screw it, gimme a dip so i can "go" But i went for a walk around the block and finally had some relief and grabbed the jerky again and was all good.
Going into Day 4 tommrow, im officially nic Free (in 10 mins, thatll be 72 hrs on the dot) and ive gotta say, aside from the cravings, i feel great.
Im still a newbie and got a lonnng way to go but any potential quitters reading this, ill tell you, its fcking hard. But its so worth it. I love the taste of my grizzly wintergreen and it still sounds damn tasty but ya kno what? Having half my face removed and going to an early grave dont sound to good.
