Stopped at the Local Walmart thins morning and picked up a can of Smokey Mtn. Wintergreen and Classic. Never did like natural dip so i wasnt sure of what to make of the classic but i actually like it. It actually taste like dip. Coming from a grizzly green ex dipper, The wintergreen is eh, so so. Its good but taste more like candy. Im sticking with classic. I showed my grandma and shes upset bc to her im still dipping. She smoked for a lonnngg time and quit when i was prolly around 7 or 8 ( im 21 now) and she quit cold turkey. But i told her ill dip smokey mtn for the rest of my life as long as its nic free and baccer free. Plus, it reallly helps with my cravings. also idk if anyone else has tried this but i put a little bit, and i mean little bit of pepper in both "dips" and it made it burn a little more.

Thats awesome man. I know how this is feelin as im a younger quitter as well. Turned 20 like a month ago and day 63 today thank god!

The fake shit is great to use when you are really craving but it still irritates the gums and can cause damage so be careful how much you use it.

Stay strong man or Bruce will destroy you hahaha

Found a can when i was looking for my cell that i had looked over i guess, and my stupid ass opened it and the smell hit me and i admit i liked it, but i said no and threw it out. Damn near got in the truck and went to the store to get some but i thought of roll in the morning and how bad id feel and Dammit ive already got 4 days behind me. The Suck is gone. I dont feel like starting over.
You don't feel like starting over because you've grown quit balls!! They'll keep growing, but the nic bitch will try and kick you every once in awhile.

Seriously though, the 'want to's' will remain, my suggestion? Get some phone numbers! When you're craving or you're thinkin about the nic bitch, text or call a brother or sister..i'm tellin you man, the support on this site is second TO NONE! Get on board, drink the koolaide and stay quit

If you need a number, PM me,
Bruce

Four days is a great start!!! Congrats. But after the chemical is gone, the mind games and rationalizing begin. The Nic Bitch is relentless.

You say you "loved the flavor." Be careful glamorizing the past. This is just another Nic Bitch mind fuck. Don't believe me? Think of it this way...do you know why there is no "tobacco flavored" gum, candy or other food additive in the entire world of food flavoring? That is because tobacco TASTES LIKE SHIT!!! The nicotine programmed your mind to THINK you liked that taste. (Pretty powerful drug, right?)

This is also a good example of "learning about addiction." As time goes on, you will stumble upon many instances where you learn just how corrupt and poisoned you mind had become. Like this...you actually liked something that tasted like shit?!!! Funny, when you see it for what it is.

Stay strong, stay quit, brother!!!!

Guys, i love this site. Ive been on here everyday since i have quit and its helped me alot. But i wanted to give a little bit of an update and if you dont mind, use this thread as my own little journal to get on here and rant, bitch, whatever.

Day 1-- was going great till around 2pm or so. I ate lunch, and boom, reached for my grizzly. Took a few deep breaths and done something to distract myself. I always dipped right after i ate. Hell, even after a snack i dipped. I guess you could say eating is a trigger lmao.

Day 2-- little better, Fog very very heavy. Dizzy, almost feel like ive had a few brewskis. Same deal with lunch and supper, but luckily my cardinals played a late game that night so i was distracted and spent my night spitting sunflower seeds into a pop can. lol

Day 3-- Woke up and got to work on cleaning out a friends garage. and out of no where a massive crave, i ran to gas station and got a can of jerky. Asked the cashier if she had any of the fake stuff and she said no, and i told her i quit and was about to go nuts. That afternoon, my broncos laid the smackdown on the hated Raiders so that made my night so i celebrated with a beer. Heres where it got tricky. (not bc of the beer) Ever since i quit ive had problems "Going" and i was at the point where i was ready to cave and say screw it, gimme a dip so i can "go" But i went for a walk around the block and finally had some relief and grabbed the jerky again and was all good.

Going into Day 4 tommrow, im officially nic Free (in 10 mins, thatll be 72 hrs on the dot) and ive gotta say, aside from the cravings, i feel great.

Im still a newbie and got a lonnng way to go but any potential quitters reading this, ill tell you, its fcking hard. But its so worth it. I love the taste of my grizzly wintergreen and it still sounds damn tasty but ya kno what? Having half my face removed and going to an early grave dont sound to good.

Ill be posting roll in the morning brothers. Have a good night. QLF.
Congratulations, your right on track. Keep up the good work and do whatever bitching you need to do right here.

Day 1 quitter here. Ive tried stopping before and each time, failed. But with this site and my fellow quitters this time will be the last. I dont feel like losing half my face to a can of worm dirt. But real name is Derrick. From the Bluegrass state of Kentucky. Big time Louisville cardinals fan, Denver Broncos fan, and Dale Earnhardt jr. fan. I live and breathe sports. But bruce told me to come here, post a little somethin somethin so i did.lol
This Bruce guy sounds smart, you should listen to him hahaha

Seriously though, post up everyday, get your ass in here and stay active or "drink the koolaide". Exchange numbers with some of your newly found Jan'13 brothers, if you need one, PM me and I'll gladly give you mine.

Be strong, embrace the suck and get ready to kick the Nic bitch's ass daily
