Welcome. We offer support and accountability, which by themselves are incredibly helpful. But it's still, and always will be you that is in charge of your quit. Make your daily promise, and keep it. It's hard as nails to do, but very simple.

Welcome BSR! (See how fast we give you nicknames around here?) Settle in, drink lots of water. Pure cranberry juice also helps. One day at a time. Anyone can quit for one day.

Use this intro thread as a journal of your quit. You can look back on it in a few months (or years) and laugh at where you've been.

Welcome Rob. One day at a time (ODAAT) will get it done. Wake up, post your promise, keep your promise. That's it. We'll deal with tomorrow when it gets here.

No lies, the first few days really suck. Hang onto the feeling of how badly it sucks because that memory will keep you going as you get further away from it. Push through these days and bust out the other side. It's worth it, I promise you that.

We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597

I quit
« on: July 12, 2016, 03:11:00 PM »
Today I quit dipping after 11 years. I am tired of lying to my family and friends, wasting money on this crap, and slowly killing myself. Ive tried unsuccessfully (obviously, since I'm here) multiple times to quit before, but always found an excuse to buy another can. NO MORE EXCUSES!!! I QUIT!!!
