Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My quit day was 7 Dec. 2013. I didn't find this site until after I had pulled the trigger on my quit.

I'm 37 years old and I've been chewing for 19 years, minus a year or two to smoke and a 14-month quit that lasted until a little over 8 years ago. I took my first dip on 1 Nov. 1995. My 18th birthday. For some dumbass reason, I thought it would be a good idea to buy cherry Skoal since I could legally. I've been a slave to nicotine ever since.

I went from cherry to Kodiak, to Skoal original, to Skoal extra wintergreen. Lately, I've been having some concerns about how ragged my lip would get at the end of the day. Fear that I may be pushing past the point of no return on the road to cancer is what has inspired me to put it down again.

Must say that this quit has been much more difficult than I remember the last one being. I'm@ 5-days  it sucks. I feel so out of it. Using Smoky Mountain (Wintergreen, of course)  some stuff I found on Amazon called Beaver Chew. Not a big fan of the Beaver Chew, it's very sticky. Anybody have any other recommendations on chew substitutes?

Welcome and congrats on a great choice of quitting. Lets get one thing straight. You didn't quit last time you stopped. THIS is your quit...own it. My best advice for you is to just read read and read this website. Make posting roll every morning your top priority and keep your word. It may suck at times but that's why we are here. Make friends and burn the bridge with the nic bitch. You've got this. One day at a time.
