Is there a no nic policy on your team? I know this doesn't help, but I told my co-workers and family I quit, and to ride me hard if I became a dick ( it has happened many times in the last 29 days) so they were warned. Not sure what to do if you could get in trouble with your team.
Good point Thumble. Letting them know your quit will at least let them know why your being a prick at times. They won't really get it but at least ya warned them. I'm sure they will have a better opinion of you knowing that your quit rather than seeing you attempt to ninja dip.
I don't think I could get in trouble for it. I mean today I feel sick (sore throat, cough, headache) but I do not feel angry or on edge at all. I am sure I will be able to keep myself under control today without being disrespectful. If something else happens I will tell them. Raider, you are probably right about them having a better opinion of me.

Most importantly I am quit today.
I'm liking your quit already bro! Keep up that attitude and focus in the coming days, because you will be tested. I'm quit w/you today bro!

I think if you tell folks some will respect your quit. Some won't give a shit, but you may be surprised at the ones that do.

I know that dip is more powerful than I am and I cannot risk having one more pinch or else it will destroy my life.
That's a load of shit, everyone on this site is evidence that the nic bitch is not more powerful, she's just a dirty fucking whore who uses her dirt fucking whore mind games to make you think she's more powerful then you, but she's not! Yes one more pinch could easily be the difference between life and death, but you are strong enough to fight that. You need to get mad...fuck that...pissed at nicotine, at dip, at big tobacco, at every motherfucker who you see sucking a cancer stick or finger fucking a can, Nic should be your enemy!

Take it from me; I'm young so I understand what it's like to have that feeling of "i have the rest of my life to quit" hanging over your head. It's a bitch to quit at this age, but if you come in here with the right attitude and drink the Kool-Aid you will quit and stay quit. Jump in with both feet, post roll everyday, head over to the live chat and fuck around in there, post in other people's introductions, do anything you can to stay active and involved in KTC and it will help you quit. Also make sure to actually bond and connect with other quitters, it's much more difficult to cave when you know the quitters you are letting down. Sorry for the novel in your intro.

If you need a contact shoot me a PM, I'm quitting with you today brother!

Man I'm a lot like you. I'm also a "young" quitter, as I'm only 24. I chewed for just under 10 years, TEN FREAKING YEARS! I spent thousands of dollars on the shit. I stained my bottom teeth piss yellow. I wasted time with friends, family, and myself just to sneak in a quick dip. I damaged my gums and cheeks but luckily am cancer free. I too had many "tries" at "stopping" chew. I made it 3 days, 3 months, all the way up to 6 months dip free. Then I caved on a whim. Dipped another year, "stopped" for another 6 months. Then I started up full force again. 1-1.5 cans per day. I had enough. I found this site and forum and on a whim joined because I was ready to quit this shit and I was ready for war. I've been quit for 68 days today. I owe a lot of that to so many of these members and Vets on here. They will guide you. You have to listen, and you have to WANT IT to be successful! Posting Roll is the single most important part of your quit right now. Make friends with other quitters in your group. Hold them accountable. Trade numbers, emails etc. Do whatever it takes to stay quit, it's life or death! I'm quit w/you today bro!
That is exactly how I have been with my quits. Just recently I made it 26 days. Then I got back to the hotel after an away match and next thing I knew it I had walked to the gas station and was hiding out in the stairwell having a dip. Ever since that one dip it was full blown addiction again...

Great to hear advice from another quitter I can relate to. I posted roll today (no idea if I did it right). I will stay quit! Whatever it takes!

Appreciate the support

Listen to the great advise that Raider is giving you. I had been hooked on the nic bitch for 36 years - also starting in my teens. Don't cave to the peer pressure. This quit is for you, not your buddies. First couple of days are hell - and you are on the edge, but each day gets better and better. Lean on your support group and keep your commitment.

It will be the best decision you will ever make. BTW - the fake chew did help me in the early days to get through the tough times. Smokey Mtn is available at WalMart.

He has been a huge help. Responded right away last night and has me extremely motivated. I will look into the Smokey Mtn. The hard part is not being able to explain to my coaches and teammates why I acted so bad at practice today. I WAS a closet dipper so no one except a couple close friends know.. I might tell my coaches and teammates. I just don't want that to hurt my reputation and how they view me as a person.

I am here! No dip for me today so far. Finished practice and got in a fight with my coaches, but it ended up fine. I am just super on edge and feel like anything can set me off.
