By this point your out of the fog and it's all ind games from here. Sure thing there are tough days ahead but it comes down to 2 things. Post your roll daily, and keep your word. Integrity is a bitch. Takes a lifetime to build trust and one wrong move, poof it's gone.

Post roll. Keep your word. Focus on nothing else. You've fucked your brain schematics up for so long it will take awhile to get right. Your goal is to stay quit until you return to normal. The cool part is that normal is AWESOME after not feeling normal for 13, 15 20 years being a user.

Stay quit. Rock on.

Congrats on your decision Wood! Looks like you're off to a great start.

I'll say what others have: it's important to develop the brotherhood. Sounds weird at first, right? Strange guys on the internet, why would I give them my phone number?

For me, it has been the single most useful tool in my quit. I'm not a big chatter, I don't jump into all the drama/debates/whatever the hell ya call em. BUT, they know my name. They know who I am. And everyone who gets to know you, everyone who you would let down if you cave, that's what makes my roll call a promise, not just a silly post on a web forum.

You've got my numbers in your inbox. Use 'em if you ever need 'em.

I quit with you today +1!
"Post roll. Post more if you want to. That's the beauty of the place: We ask you post roll. We ask you to be honest. That's all. No more. No less. Be there for your brothers and ask for help when you need it." - Wastepanel 10/6/14

"What would you do to save your own life? If you were fighting cancer today would you suffer through Chemo, surgeries, try new a therapy? change your diet, go to church? What intolerable hell would you endure to simply live. When you have thought long and hard about that, think on this. Why not apply that attitude to your quit. Suffer through the temporary discomfort of withdrawal to achieve your freedom from a slow painful demise via nicotine. Your in the ring already- fight like you mean it." - Skoal Monster 10/8/14

Thanks guys... it has been a lot easier today than the first 3... one day at a time
Bring it! Been dipping for 15 years. Skoal Straight Long Cut. I've quit before, but this time is for real! 24 hours Skoal Free.
I was a Copenhagen Long Cut guy myself... Those first two days are pure hell but it gets better
I'm on day 16 and chewed for 23 years. So first of all I'm glad you're making this decision at a younger age than I did. And this will be a roller coaster ride. Day 3 sucked ass for me, days 4-7 were no big deal, day 8 a nightmare and now I'm on 16 and this is about as crabby as I've been since day 3. So just want to prepare you for that. Get with your quit group and get some phone numbers so you can connect with someone in an emergency. No matter what, just don't out that filthy rotten shit in your lip again!
Appreciate it gooch... I'm sure I'll have some bad days ahead... Just got to keep at it one day at a time

Woodrow if I can offer any advice it's to remember what you are fighting. If you are fighting against dipping its a losing battle. Your mind will come up with a reason sooner or later that will make you cave. You have to fight to stay in control of your addiction. There is no reason for you not to have control over putting a weed in your mouth. Maybe the difference is just a nuance, but the difference has kept me dip free for the first time in decades. Good luck.

Fuck ya!!! Bring the WOOD!!

Quit one day at a time. When I started out, I was counting minutes at times. Reach out to folks on the site, use live chat if you need to. I find that it helps to hate the NIC BITCH.

Now say it with me....

FUCK FUCK FUCK the NIC BITCH!!!!

Welcome aboard I quit with you today. If you need a number just PM me. I will give you mine.

Nice job posting roll. Now give your promise every damn day that you won't be lured by the foul songs of that nic-whore. Show some of the wobbky February brothers what a 100 percent roll posting record looks like.

Dipper for 16 years done with it for good
« on: November 03, 2014, 12:56:00 PM »
Hello everybody. 29 years old and have dipped since I was 13. Tired of that little can controlling my life. Had my first kid, a little girl, in July and lost my dad to cancer caused by smoking in August. I am not going to put my kid through what I went through watching my dad. I have tried to quit before but always caved after a day or two. On day 4 of my quit now and am more determined than ever. I just "stopped dipping" all those other times, I'm quitting for good this time. I ain't gonna let no little damn can dictate my life anymore!
